This is why I never find cute, or adorable or romantic the videos of people doing marriage proposals during a Green Day concert I mean, I'm glad for the couples in the videos I've seen, because they seem happy and excited. But if it was me I'd be like "buddy, can't you see I'm in the middle of something here? we'll talk about this later"

I must admit his timing with regards to the lyrics of the song was impeccable, but it's still a hard pass for me. Such a great song with so much energy live, and the last one with the full band playing, I don't want to be distracted for it!

In an unexpected turn of events (although it should have been expected, because the Green Day hardcore following is a tiny world in the end ) I actually know the girl in the proposal video. The two of us alongside a couple other people started Green Day Fan Venezuela, the Venezuelan fan page / group, around the time Green Day announced their concert in Venezuela in 2010. I just haven't seen her in like 14 years, and we didn't keep in touch anymore after a while, so I didn't recognize her immediately from the video. But she commented the Italian fan group sharing of the video, and I recognized her name, looked at her profile picture and saw it was her, and then watched the video again and it was obvious I'm happy for her! She is a really nice person

What can I say? To each their own 🤷‍♀️ For me the ideal proposal would be while buying groceries, or while cleaning the house... something so boring and mundane you are happy for the distraction... I know, I am such a hopeless romantic 😂

Well, I've been running over 30km / 3h per week for the past 6 weeks, most of it outdoors, so the odds are a bit in my favor I guess. That said I've seen only two people. The first was a woman around my age with a shirt from the Saviors tour. I cannot see very well from afar, so at first it was the black and pink design that made me suspicious, and I only confirmed it was Green Day / Saviors themed shirt once she was super close. I was in the second to last km of my long run then, so I was more in survival mode and didn't think to any thing. The other was a younger girl with a shirt with the hand-grenade design from AI, so I saw that a mile away, but she was young and with her parents (I assume) and I didn't want to seem like a creep, so I just ran past her without acknowledging it at all  😅
