Sound Check “new song” clips unreleased Trilogy songs record would be so cool!

So I’ve been doing a small amount of research just now based on “See You Tonight”  and looked up Dreamcatcher and Oh Girl and to seeeee alllll the song titles on those song titleboards of the Trilogy in the Quattro documentary and to know they’ve never seen or barely seen the light of day makes me so sad! The Trilogy was so exciting and Demolicious was so good! Omg for the (apparently) 35+ songs that didn’t make the Trilogy if they were released I bet it would make so many people so happy! The writing process for Trilogy was such an exciting era. I would love love Love if the unreleased songs were put out in like a giant Demolicious format. Raw. Whatever they have. I would love it so much!!!!

So exciting seeing the sound check clips with songs that eventually end up on the Trilogy/eventually don’t :( it was an exciting time and I’d like to hear more <3 so exciting and raw and real <3

Anyone else have anymore info? So cool. The Era of writing between 21cbd and the Trilogy was so exciting! Foxboro Hot Tubs for example too.

Does anyone have any info on songs that didn’t make RevRad? I haven’t found any but I’m not that great at digging.

I bet there'll be no RR outtakes, maybe 1 or 2 recorded. They might have wrote more, but might have recorded the selected ones.

There was an interview from then where Mike said they recorded and released everything they had, that there were no outtakes.

As I can remember, Dreamcatcher and Baby Blue were part of These Paper Bullets show.

Baby Blue:

Dreamcatcher (It sounds at the beggining and at the end):

I really doubt GD release these songs in the future...

Meh I can't say I'm interested in any trilogy outtakes, the songs that made it on the albums were bloated enough, let alone the ones that didn't make the cut…

Dreamcatcher and Oh Girl are the ones i'm interested. Some tracks had some potential but were ultimately ruined.

still no

Olivia might be a 21CBD track or Trilogy track. I forgot what it was.

"Anything that the band never released must be from C&V. It can't possibly be from any other time. Especially the songs played live in 2010, those were defintely from 2003!"

It puzzles me why everyone seems so intrigued by an album (that might not have ever existed) that the band thought wasn't good enough to be released. I mean, any tracks that would've been good enough to be on an album has probably already been released.

I mean, I'm pretty sure the only confirmed C&V songs are of course the song C&V and I think Too Much Too Soon. And I'm not sure about Letterbomb cause it's said that was called Clusterbomb during the C&V time but I'm not sure whether that was just a rumour. And I know Youngblood was a reworked song but I don't think it was confirmed that it was from the C&V sessions.

But really, those tracks are probably the best tracks from C&V. If there were any other tracks of that quality, they've probably already been released

But regarding the trilogy songs, I don't think anything else from the trilogy era will be released for a long time anyway. I think they want to just forget the trilogy ever happened tbh.

Confirmed songs:
C&V
Too Much Too Soon
Wasteaway
Sleepyhead
Dropout
**and most likely Clusterbomb since it was from the Warning sessions AND ended up on American Idiot, so it was probably used in between too.

And for the love of god, Youngblood was written during the 21st Century Breakdown tour and highly re-worked for RevRad. I don't know where the C&V rumor for the song started, but I've had to correct at least a dozen people on it. Take note and pass it on!!!

Yeah I think people just assume if a song was written in the past, then it was a C&V song

I remember reading it in a magazine article from 2016. I even remember what side of the page it was on, but can't find which magazine it was. It is mentioned in this video, but Billie says "a long time ago" and doesn't specify 21CB. http://www.nme.com/news/music/green-day-cigarettes-and-valentines-lost-album-interview-listen-1862365

Some of the promotions of These Paper Bullets advertised that "there's an unreleased Green Day song among them". Probably it was Dreamcatcher, but they were careful in witch song release and what song don't.

Still, is a real shame that songs like that or Regretfully yours were used on that instead of Green Day. Meanwhile, I'm still crying at the unreleased Dreamcatcher

So that means there might be a Trilogy era version of Youngblood? Different name perhaps?

Most likely. There's probably at least a rough phone demo that Billie made to remember what he wrote, but unlikely that there was a complete studio demo.
