Jaded in Chicago Deluxe (An open fan project)

Jaded in Chicago from the Aragon Ballroom is perhaps the most famous Green Day concert in their history (at least in the 90s), with more video sources released to the public than probably any other Green Day show out there. VHS Transfers, CD soundboard sources, digital clips, you name it really.

With all these sources, all of them seem to have an advantage. One source may have better colors compared to another, another may have better audio, etc.

I want to make that a thing of the past. I would like to gather people who have video editing experience from this community, and work together to make the definitive Jaded in Chicago experience.

If you would like to take part in this project, or have any big questions, please PM me. I will give you all the details. (Sources going to be used, roles in this project, etc.)

I will answer simple questions about this project in the comments.

EDIT: This project will also include video restoration, including video noise removal, and color correction.

Great! Could I perhaps give you the sources in a private post?

This is a great idea! I have no skills that I could lend to it, but just wanted to say this sounds awesome. Thanks to all who participate!

Any thoughts on perhaps other show that could benefit from this treatment? Perhaps Woodstock or Live at the 10 spot, etc?

Probably this would be more interesting if there is another show with multiple sources. There's a version of that show that is almost perfect, so at least for me is pointless to do it. I won't participate this time, but if you have another ideas I'm open to listen :)

I kinda made an ultimate version already... but idk if it's the best quality audio, just from the lossless cassette rip. Light color correction, noise removal, audio EQ'd, and deinterlaced 60fps (there's been debate with me about whether it's authentic or not but it definitely is). I would totally like to help make a better version though! Just as long as it's not Aimee Smith levels of post processing that make the videos look and sound worse than they were originally (if she even made those or stole them). I made this a few years back but reuploaded it recently!

I was thinking more of a professional level restoration rather than using filters. It's why I asked the help of the Green Day Community, I know something like that is no small task.

Can you upload your source file to mega?

Maby i can do a matrix of sound sources. Or we can create a bluray with multiple sound sources included.

I actually had the Blu-Ray route in mind. What we could do is have the original audio as an option, but also have a remastered audio mix (closer to the WICA Single)

Is there any way in particular you would like to help out? We could use all the help we can get!

Sorry I'm not sure how I could help and to be honest I agree with greendepent. Maybe Woodstock would be better as there are heaps of different sources on that...

Is there any audio that exists of Jaded In Chicago uncensored? That would be nice

I didn't think people would put the effort in a Woodstock restoration due to the MV versions on YouTube being digital sourced.
