I'm sure there's a topic 'bout this but I'm new and meh HAHAHA.

Does somebody know what does Billie say at the end of Hitchin' A Ride?

Something like "2, 3, 4, 1, 2" according to the International Supervideos subtitles

But I'm not sure 'bout that tho

HAHAHA

What so you think?

I think he just says gibberish or something.

Yeah, I would say it's just gibberish. You can hear it at 2:38 in this video.

i think he says "say birthday boys, hey" i read it somewhere on a songtext website and if you listen closely it really sounds like that but idk if it's true, i just thought it sounded like that

I always sing “say one pay one pay” which is obviously not correct but I think it’s just nonsense anyway

I wonder why he pronounced "shit" like that

I've always just thought of it as "2, 3, 2, 3, 4" even though he's clearly not saying that

I've always wondered that. I think it's something to do with when he screams it. He pronounces it like that every time he screams it, like at the end of Take Back, for example.

The second word repeats. Sounds like "me" or "three".

It’s interesting just to hear his vocals isolated like that.

Someone asked him this on an Idiot Nation q&a years back and his literal answer was gibberish. It’s gibberish haha

Well I learned something new today! Thanks for sharing. I'm stealing this word. Gibberish!

It comes in handy when you're discussing Billie's singing

I always heard, "2, 3, 4, 1, 2", and I never read the lyrics to International Superhits or indeed any other lyric sheet that included Hitchin' A Ride. He just had shitty pronunciation back then and slurred his speech often but it was always clear to me. I think I forced myself to become accustomed to shitty pronunciation by listening to so much punk by the time I had listened to Nimrod for the first time so it was easier to understand Billie's mumbling.

I always heard "say one day one hey". While we're on the subject what the hell does he say in the bridge of Armatage Shanks? OoOo

Don't take this as gospel, but the Insomniac tablature book I think said, "say whatever" in that bridge.

Then again, could just be more o' that gibberish

Yeah my money's on nonsense but I hoped somebody might know. There's also a part of Blood Sex and Booze that I haven't ever been able to make our too

Thanks a lot for that- for 20 years I've had it at "tell ya one tell ya one two" but now you have me second guessing. ;)

That comes from Green Day Rock Band, if you do vocals on there the lyrics are written as that. But I think it's really gibberish and whoever put the lyrics together just thought it sounded like that (which it kind of does but I think it's just a coincidence, there's a few other wrong lyrics on there as well so I don't think the ones that aren't already in official lyric booklets etc were provided directly by the band).
