The YT link said it came from Green Day Brazil fan page which happened to be one of the two places the Troubled Times video was “leaked” (there and here of course). So was this another intentional leak to gauge fan reaction? ETA: Seems to be some debate about whether this is legit. We need more people to weigh in here, this is a good mystery!

Then again it very well could be, the demo for 21st Century Breakdown was leaked before the album; so we could very well have a leaked song on our hands.

This very much feels like a rough draft that got left off because Billie never really found the right revisions to make the lyrics more interesting. I'm making assumptions but his writing is generally more interesting than this. For the record, I didn't even question if it was him. I'd be shocked to find out it wasn't and very impressed by the impersonator!

Also they aren't doubting it was them about the lyrics. They say the vocals are "pitched,adjusted,etc" Also if this is true, are they planning a concept album? Just try to analyze the lyrics; you will understand what i'm saying.
