Ok, solved it:

''As autumn's wind fades into black'' (''Gloria'', 2009) = ''Like dogs that shit on your neighbor's lawn'' (''Back in the USA'', 2017)

''When you're hiding in plain sight'' (''Rusty James'', 2012) = ''Let there be poison and it tastes like lemonade'' (''Back in the USA'', 2017)

I love Back in the USA, it's a incredible song.

I've been listening to BITUSA for the last hour, on repeat. It's really good. It makes me happy. :)

Okay, finally had a chance to listen to Back in the USA and OW. Here is my verdict:

Back in the USA is nothing special, but I like it. It's catchy and I feel like it'll grow on me the more I listen to it.

OW is nowhere near as good as the original. I agree with what was said earlier about it seeming slower - that's kind of irritating. I don't like Miranda's voice very much and sometimes she kinda drowns out Billie's voice. Also, it doesn't seem like a duet - it seems like two people are trying to record the same song in the same room at the same time, but separately. Their voices just don't mix very well.

Also, something else about OW seems off, but I can't put my finger on what that something is. At first, I thought Miranda's timing was off, but now idk. I can't be arsed to listen to it again just to find out what's wrong.

Your words about ''Ordinary World'' (feat. Miranda Lambert, lol) are gold.

Not sure if this was talked about already (Fox News Denver segment on the new recording of Ordinary World) http://via.kdvr.com/p6YO9 but I had to cringe through the whole thing. It's Fox and it probably killed them internally to even use "Billie Joe Armstrong" or "Green Day" in a positive light so I'm not surprised they talked about Miranda Lambert or other people for 90% of the segment but like, it's Billie's/GD's song for christ sake. And then they interview some engineer or producer, I don't know, but he's like "yeah it's like a retake on one of Green Day's older songs that came out in 2014". Not sure if I'm more bothered that he got the year wrong or that 2014 is already considered "old".  It's only local news but it still irks me.

I like Back in the USA.  It reminds me of what I thought when I first heard RevRad (the song)- standard rock song, but likeable.

Same. I kind of wish it had more bite to it though, it's cool they're addressing this subject matter but it's a bit lightweight (and same applies to Rev Rad the song).

Fox News is just... I mean, just to be clear, I think most of mainstream corporate media in the U.S isn't great, but I simply cannot take anyone seriously that watches Fox News, they are so biased, it's both infuriating and really bizarre...

The lyrics sound good but they seem kind of vague. I might be missing something though.

I loved the lyrics more than the whole song.

On that note, was the mix of RevRad songs on GFB any better?

sounds brickwalled my laptop volume at 2 and Bang Bang is distorting the speakers at volume 2...

It's just a standard Green Day song... Like American Idiot or 21st Century Breakdown B-side or a trilogy's song... Not bad, it's standard Green Day... but not one of their best...

Same. I don’t want to pick each line apart because that’s not fair but the lyrics convey the overall emotion and frustration with the nutjobs getting inspired by this administration and the fear and helplessness everyone else feels.  I love them.
