Jimmy Strummer Posted October 2, 2017 Posted October 2, 2017 Stereogum just posted about this on their Facebook and I got extremely curious. This is apparently a brand-new tribute album to our boys in Green Day titled "Earth Day." No artists on this one that any average person would really recognize, they're all pretty underground; but it's for a good cause, as all proceeds from the album's sales on BandCamp will benefit the Hurricane Maria Community Relief and Recovery Fund. So go ahead and check it out if you have the time! Personally, I'm only a few songs in and I'm digging what Ratboys have done with "Pulling Teeth!" https://okthanksbilliejoe.bandcamp.com/album/earth-day?from=embed
Clockwise Posted October 2, 2017 Posted October 2, 2017 I got to hear Ratboys cover Pulling Teeth live a few months back, they're awesome!
TracksAtChristieRoad Posted October 2, 2017 Posted October 2, 2017 this is neat! Some were way too mellow for me or were just odd. loving 2000 Light Years Away tho. reminds me of Bob Dylan's times they are a changing (well the Harmonica mainly)
reneetaleena Posted October 2, 2017 Posted October 2, 2017 These are really great covers to play before you go to sleep (not a diss) .
Eric Posted October 3, 2017 Posted October 3, 2017 Tribute albums usually blow in my opinion, will pass
