Chin for a Day Posted June 8, 2017 Posted June 8, 2017 I would start with Brain Stew on guitar, it is very easy to play, but fun.

Guest Posted June 8, 2017 Posted June 8, 2017 You are learning way too many instruments at once. Stick to one and get really good at it and then move on to something else

tomdsjames Posted June 8, 2017 Posted June 8, 2017 Hitchin A Ride is probably the easiest song to learn on guitar if you already know Brain Stew. For both bass and drums, definitely Boulevard of Broken Dreams. It's the most basic drum beat you can have (Whatsername is a very similar, basic beat) and the bass is very simple. Most Green Day songs are pretty easy to play on guitar tbh as they're mainly power chords, depends how much of a beginner you are. If you're fine moving up and down the frets a bit faster, something like Holiday or Know Your Enemy is easy as you don't even need to change the position of your hand, just move your hand to different frets.
Grinch Posted June 8, 2017 Posted June 8, 2017 For guitar, my first green day songs were Holiday (I played it wrong at first), Letterbomb, and Hitchin' a Ride. Those are all really fun and good starters. The Holiday "solo" was the first I ever learned. American Idiot is a good balance between fun/beginner challenging on bass. For drums, Boulevard of Broken Dreams and Are We the Waiting would be good starters.
St. Jonny Posted June 8, 2017 Posted June 8, 2017 Everything on American Idiot is quite simple, depending on how good of a memory you have

St. Jonny Posted June 8, 2017 Posted June 8, 2017 See Haha, just keep practicing! Until it's permanently burned into your brain.
GreenDayTheory Posted June 8, 2017 Author Posted June 8, 2017 By the way i know the solos of Novacaine,Murder City,Last of the American Girls,WMUWSE,etc 3 minutes ago, St. Jonny said: See Haha, just keep practicing! St. Jonny Posted June 8, 2017 Posted June 8, 2017 Slightly easier to remember and much easier to sing than Homecoming while playing. I try to cover Mike and Billie's parts at once, not easy, but the song itself is pretty simple. As the vast majority of the catalogue is. Extremely fun all of them!

Justin Posted June 9, 2017 Posted June 9, 2017 Try Oh Love, it's simple chord progression with a nice yet challenging solo that could start you down that path

ThranaM Posted June 9, 2017 Posted June 9, 2017 Waiting is probably the easiest Green Day song to learn

PursuitOfEpicness Posted June 9, 2017 Posted June 9, 2017 Good Riddance is really fun to learn, once you know it everyone knows the song and it's a good song to get everyone to sing along to, it's the first one i learned.
Reindron Posted June 9, 2017 Posted June 9, 2017 I'd stick to learning one of those buddy but if the most fun easiest green day songs for bass in my opinion has always been holiday, hitchin a ride and king for a day for guitar i'd start with oh love, time of your life, 21 guns or st jimmy
