legendary Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 Hello GDC, I saw this promo CD twice in eBay, but now it's gone and never appeared again... has anyone know where I can found it? Does anyone here have the CD? And another question... i saw here that is a CD-R, what it's specifically mean? ("official" CD or fanmade?)
Todd Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 That's the only one that has ever sold. Maybe only a handful were produced, or maybe it's a fake
WhiteTim Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 Labels aren't really pressing up singles nowadays if they do it's only will be a cd-r as it's cheaper to press
Eric Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 Yup seems fake. I wouldn't see a point to release singles on cd anymore lmao
JardyOfSuburbia Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 I was bummed to never get my hands on one of these. I did just grab the Maria promotional single the other day and am eagerly awaiting its arrival.
Christian's Inferno! Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 I don't think it's a fake cause that cd is the same one as shown on this link https://www.discogs.com/Green-Day-Still-Breathing/release/9697356 It was a UK only release 6 minutes ago, Eric said: Yup seems fake. Christian's Inferno! Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 Just now, Eric said: Doesn't mean there was a point to releasing it on cd lmao. Not everyone just wants to listen to new music on their phones or computers or tablets. Some people like buying CDs and vinyls and stuff

And yeah, vinyl singles make since, you just drop the needle, but it seems like a waste of time to 'load up' a cd into a player for just one song. Just my two cence.

However if we got a non album track with it that would be cool. I think they should just get rid of one track cd or vinyl period.

Kinda just have an obsession with 7", and not many people seem to do them anymore
JardyOfSuburbia Posted June 1, 2017 Posted June 1, 2017 A lot of these 1-track CD singles are promos sent to radio stations. Hence why they are only 1-track.
Grinch Posted June 3, 2017 Posted June 3, 2017 I think it's real because I haven't seen that Green Day logo before and it went detailed enough to show the copyrights around the CD. Wouldn't make sense to go through all that time to sell one single fake. Like Jardy said they pretty much just use them to ship out to stations and stuff.
