csomiqsx Posted May 7, 2017 Posted May 7, 2017 I was wondering if there's a chance to see them after their europe summer shows.. I mean in Arena, I think that they played pretty small venue for the first leg. I read that they said they planned to tour a lot, but all I can see is a lot of USA date ^^. What do you think?
Fuzz Posted May 8, 2017 Posted May 8, 2017 I think no one really can say with certainty. Green Day doesn't like to announce tours ahead of schedule, so at this point it's all just speculation. They've also shown not to be very consistent with the types of places they tour if they go on a second/third leg of a tour.
Hermione Posted May 8, 2017 Posted May 8, 2017 I'm thinking it's most likely the arena shows they've already played in Europe (the smaller shows were in the US, they played arenas here) were the "first European leg" and the festivals they're playing in summer are the second and that'll probably be it, to be honest. They toured a lot for 21st CB and that's still all they did then, three sets of European shows would really be a lot. But it's true they're not always predictable so it's still possible.
JudgesDaughter16 Posted July 6, 2017 Posted July 6, 2017 Yeah, I mean it'd be lovely if they came over here again, but there is always a part of me that's very glad to see them taking a break and having down-time because the only thing I want more than for them to tour here again is for them to be well-rested and not get burned out.
pacejunkie punk Posted July 6, 2017 Posted July 6, 2017 By the time they're done with South America they will have been touring for a year. I'll be ready for them to go home and hopefully get back to the studio by then (and maybe get some time to start work on the American Idiot movie)

Green Day ALWAYS tours Japan. I doubt they'd skip it.

I guess that's possible, but we were talking about whether they'll return to Europe for a third time which I doubt. A few dates in Japan maybe.
Strychnine. Posted July 7, 2017 Posted July 7, 2017 They just did two fucking tours in Europe. They aren't coming back until another album comes out, Kay?

I agree with you. Enough of Europe. It is not fair.. they should come back to do US Tours, especially in L.A,California..(you would think? the boys are from here!) They did only one show here and it was that "IheartRadio' thingy.. ..and then S.A and Mexico and movie.

After that I don't want the guys touring in Europe or the Us anymore. Just finish off the South American tour and go the fuck home.
Caroline Truong Posted July 7, 2017 Posted July 7, 2017 I know the boys are playing at "Rose Bowl" CA.. here in Stepember and it is only 40 min from my house..but it is too expensive and I can't drive!

TimmyChunks Posted July 7, 2017 Posted July 7, 2017 What was that line in Forgetting Sarah Marshall? "You gotta stop talking about it. It's like "the Sopranos." It's *over*. Find a new show". After South America sure, they could do a couple shows in Japan or something (highly unlikely) but this is the last leg of RR. Let's all enjoy it.
Yosuke Hanamura Posted July 7, 2017 Posted July 7, 2017 I'd be going to a 3rd show If they didn't decide to play Amphitheaters..
CherryBombs&Gasoline Posted July 7, 2017 Posted July 7, 2017 Sure, some more shows in Europe would be great. IF they do it, they could play some popular festivals next summer (Rock am Ring, Reading). I would love it, but I think it's very unlikely. But one can always dream... They could be back in 2019 if they start working on a new album soon after the end of the RevRad tour.
Thatsername Posted July 7, 2017 Posted July 7, 2017 As much as I wish they would come back to Europe in 2018 (because I already miss them now and it's only one week ago since I last saw them, sigh), I also think it's very unlikely. They're touring a lot and they came over here twice, so I think we really can't complain so far. They need time to rest as well. Somehow I have the feeling that we could get a new album rather sooner than later this time, and how epic would be a 2019 tour with a new album plus playing AI in its entirety for its 15th anniversary?

Yeah we were meant to be enjoying it on tuesday Billie said they'd do Japan (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vyBq1p4H7BM) and that's roughly the only part of the world left for them now, so they'll probably call it a day tour wise as we head into 2018. Holding onto hope for a festival appearance or something next summer, just because of Glasgow, but nothing more.
Strychnine. Posted July 7, 2017 Posted July 7, 2017 The guys need a break. They're all getting into their late 40's and even what they have done already is having a toll on them. After the second North America leg and South America they need to call it quits for at least a couple of months.
MillenniumFan Posted July 7, 2017 Posted July 7, 2017 Yeah, I think too that a full 3rd leg in Europe is both unlikely and not a good idea. However, I think maybe playing a few festivals in the summer of 2018 (such as Reading, possibly Rock Am Ring and some festival in Scotland, because of the whole Bellahouston fiasco) would be very cool indeed. Even more so, because they would have rested at least half a year. However, maybe not doing anything of the sort, but rather releasing an album only 2-3 years from now and then going on tour again, that would be very cool too.

AimieeSmith Posted July 7, 2017 Posted July 7, 2017 I have no plans so will record the stream - and it looks like the full broadcast as the guide says 9pm-11pm
