Boulevard of Brexit Dreams Posted April 16, 2017 Posted April 16, 2017 If you were to design a GD Setlist consisting of 25 songs, with: - none that have been released as a single yet, - All from studio albums - no more than 7 songs per album what would it be? P.S. i started a new thread for this because I think it's a sufficiently different topic of discussion than the RevRad tour Setlist discussion, as it is about creating a general Setlist, not one for. the RR tour. Your Setlist could have 0 RevRad songs, which would preclude it from being a RevRad tour Setlist.
pouty bitch Posted April 16, 2017 Posted April 16, 2017 From 39/Smooth: At the Library and Judge's Daughter because I've rarely seen them played live and I love the solo in Judge's Daughter. From Kerplunk: 80 (because it's so good, but it's always overshadowed by 2000 Light Years Away), Who Wrote Holden Caulfield? (IMO, it's one of GD's best songs), and Best Thing In Town (because I love it and I've never seen it performed live). From Dookie: Burnout (although they play it live a lot, it's my favourite song off Dookie, so I wouldn't take it off the setlist) and Coming Clean (because I haven't seen it performed live very often). From Insomniac: Armatage Shanks, Brat and Bab's Uvula Who? because they're my favourite songs off Insomniac. From Nimrod: The Grouch, Platypus (I Hate You), Jinx, Reject and Take Back because they don't get performed often enough. From Warning: Blood, Sex and Booze and Church on Sunday (because I love them both so much), Castaway (because it sounds sooooo good when they play it live ), Misery and Deadbeat Holiday (because they've never been played live, apart from Misery at soundcheck once). From American Idiot: Letterbomb (I know they play it live pretty often, but it's awesome, so I wouldn't take it off the setlist) and Homecoming (because I want to hear Mike and Tre sing live more often ). From 21st Century Breakdown: ¿Viva la Gloria? (Little Girl) and Horseshoes and Handgrenades (because they aren't played often enough and Viva La Gloria sounds great live) and American Eulogy (because, again, I want to hear Mike sing live more often). From Uno: Loss of Control because I've never heard it live. From Dos: Baby Eyes, Lady Cobra and Nightlife (because I've never heard them live and Lady Cobra is one of my absolute favourite songs ) and Amy (because it's such a beautiful song). From Tre: Brutal Love (because it's my favourite live GD song and I'm so sad they took it off the setlist after the trilogy tour ), Missing You (because it's awesome ) and Walk Away (because I think it's so underrated and I would love to hear it live). From Revolution Radio: Bouncing Off The Wall (because it's my favourite song from RevRad and it's just so much fun) and Youngblood (because it sounds great live and it's also a lot of fun). I know that this is about 35 songs, which is a bit long for a setlist, but I really couldn't narrow it down to any less. They're all just such great songs. (Anyway, the more songs, the better, right? ) I also think there should be at least one song from each album, so there is enough variety.
