masondayot Posted April 7, 2017 Posted April 7, 2017 Yes, no clickbait this time. but yeah here's my new cover of "Before the Lobotomy" it's always been one of my favorite deep cut songs on their record.
Jimmy Strummer Posted April 7, 2017 Posted April 7, 2017 Okay, I'm finally gonna work up the nerve to say this: your LP Junior sounds great, but have you ever thought about layering other guitars on top of it? I just think that the one thing all of your covers are lacking is a meatier guitar sound, and you can get it by just playing different guitars through different amps. That's what I've done on all of my covers (SHAMELESS PLUG soundcloud.com/jimmy-strummer), and it's always worked out great! Of course you don't have to go TOO crazy, maybe just blend in a simple humbucker sound with your already-good P90 tone, just make the tone more beefy and fill up all that empty space.

I actually have quad tracked guitars on some sections on this cover but only an amp change. I actually don't own a humbucker guitar just a mustang and this
scott_miller95 Posted April 8, 2017 Posted April 8, 2017 Solid cover yet again Mason! Thought you're guitar tones were great! Keep it up dude.
Spike Posted April 8, 2017 Posted April 8, 2017 Brilliant as usual, keep it up! Boring thread title though
