dangnimatoads Posted April 5, 2017 Posted April 5, 2017 Has anyone purchased VIP for the Rev Rad tour? I just blew 455 bucks on VIP for the Oakland show and I want to know what to expect. For those that don't know, here's what the website says comes with VIP: 1 standing ticket in the pit or top price seat Early entry into the venue Pre-show cash bar 2 drink tokens for beer/wine/soft drinks 1 Picnic blanket 1 Disposable camera 1 Zine pack created especially for the VIP 1 VIP laminate I think the most valuable thing is early entry, unless anyone else has had experience being backstage with this package (which I highly doubt). Please comment your experience if you've purchased VIP.
BilIie Joe Armstrong Posted April 5, 2017 Posted April 5, 2017 Why would anyone need early entry if they got a seat?
Hermione Posted April 5, 2017 Posted April 5, 2017 I think the only valuable thing is early entry. First a sandwich now a picnic blanket . But I mean having early entry and being really close is a pretty big deal so if you value that as worth it then it's worth it. From other times this has been discussed I don't believe anyone's got backstage through it. 6 minutes ago, Jane Lannister said: Why would anyone need early entry if they got a seat? I guess having a top price seat is the equivalent of being in the best standing place through early entry.
so-unholy Posted April 5, 2017 Posted April 5, 2017 I wonder if people with standing tickets that have early entry get to go to the bar/merch stand before they take their places? Otherwise you might lose that valuable barrier spot that you paid through the nose for... (Ugh I hate that I'm even considering buying this. I just know that waiting all day in the summer heat is my personal hell)
AlissaGoesRAWR Posted April 5, 2017 Posted April 5, 2017 There's already a thread for the overpriced crock of shit that is the VIP experience. You may have better luck asking here: It was my understanding in Pittsburgh that VIP people had a separate line and were let in first to buy merch and drink alcohol. Then they could take stuff back to their car and get inside, still before everyone else. I would say they filled up about 3/4 of the barrier. Apparently they drank lots of alcohol, because a very drunk lady kept telling me what a waste of money it was. Guess that's why you should read the description before you buy.
