What would that do? Make GD fans look like a bunch of assholes just like the people that are posting about the band? Plus, that takes away the free publicity the band has been striving for.

I'm sure they know Breitbart churns out hateful articles about them all the time, it's propaganda, but the drama is in fact positive for them. They need publicity. What they do would have no impact if it wouldn't make anyone mad.

Some of the trumpets are talking about violence against the band at their upcoming shows so I think Facebook needs to step up and not allow that sort of talk to go unnoticed. If Anti-Trump/Pro-Green Day people like the page en masse and then become a positive force that would be a good thing . Thats all I mean

They aren't "viciously attacking" them at all And even the Breitbart article is extremely mild, they're just listing up some of the things Green Day have said about Trump and quoting interviews. This site only has about 200k likes, which doesn't even make them relevant. I'd put this in the category "the right to have an opinion" and be done with it. This is Facebook we're talking about, of course people are going to hate on them in the comments, they're hating on them in the comments on Green Day's own Facebook page, too. You have every right to defend Green Day if you're willing to waste your time arguing with 60 rabid Trump fanatics who won't listen to you anyway, but you do realize that by calling for other people to do the same you're giving the site more attention they don't deserve.

That's why I basically stopped reading the comments on their facebook or instagram accounts, it's just not healthy.
