Other Billie Posted February 9, 2017 Posted February 9, 2017 Hi All, If you Had a Time Machine and could go back in time what Green Day tour would you go see First.
xightmnt Posted February 9, 2017 Posted February 9, 2017 I would definitely go to one of their first shows they ever did. It would be awesome seeing what they were first like with new songs of that time. It would be great to see everyone not realising who they were, and I'd probably be the only one.
Spike Posted February 9, 2017 Posted February 9, 2017 I've always wished I could have been at the show they did at The Den in Wigan on 21st December 1991. I mean, imagine having been at that! That, or the Warfield show from 2005 where they did 39 songs including I Fought The Law twice, Won't Get Fooled Again, Blitzkreig Bop, Dancing With Myself, Rock The Casbah (with Jason White singing), the Midwest Medley (my favourite Green Day cover by far), Sweet Home Alabama, Disappearing Boy, JAR, Dominated Love Slave, All By Myself, and all of American Idiot. The bootleg alone from that is mindblowing.
UNICORN VOMIT Posted February 9, 2017 Posted February 9, 2017 Not sure where but it would definitely be small/intimate venue.

inthehallwaynow Posted February 9, 2017 Posted February 9, 2017 Pinole valley or maybe like at tower records when Billie spray painted the walls or that acoustic bridge school show. Can't pick having meltdown...
Private Ale. Posted February 9, 2017 Posted February 9, 2017 i would go back to Kerplunk times and see them in Gilman Street.
I don't care Posted February 9, 2017 Posted February 9, 2017 I would easily give an arm or a leg to see Green Day live before 94.

Didn't find any other version of it, the whole session used to be on YT, but it seems to be gone now
unextraordinarygirl Posted February 9, 2017 Posted February 9, 2017 One of their early shows at Gilman. Also that show they did in Chicago in 94 because that looked like it was insane and fun!
End Of The World Posted February 9, 2017 Posted February 9, 2017 October 17, 1987, Rod's Hickory Pit. Just to say them: "Hey, guys. Your name will be Green Day and you'll rock the world in 7 years".
Lauren Posted February 9, 2017 Posted February 9, 2017 I would go to the rock n roll hall of fame induction show at the house of blues. I heard that was a pretty good one, sad I missed it.
MaraGreenDay Posted February 9, 2017 Posted February 9, 2017 Any show before '94, especially when Billie had dreadlocks Milton Keynes in 2005, the last one in México in December of 2005, the one at The House of Blues for the RRHOF and any FBHT show.
Montclare Posted February 9, 2017 Posted February 9, 2017 Elmhurst, IL, 1993. In part because I'm a Chicagoan, but mainly because it's a true blend of pre-fame/famous Green Day. You have the band on the floor (rather than a true stage) with all of the fans, with fans going up to Mike a couple times during the show to give him lost keys, and the fans joining GD on "stage" at the end, but on the flip side, everyone there (and it was a full house) knows every word to all of their songs even though 99% of the world still had no idea who Green Day was at the time. I also love Astoria, 2/1/1998. That show was just plain awesome. I could watch it over and over again. And have.
The Grohl Posted February 9, 2017 Posted February 9, 2017 I'd say either their 1994 show in Chicago or the Pop Disaster tour.
Chin for a Day Posted February 9, 2017 Posted February 9, 2017 I want to go back to 1977 and see Baby Billie Joe sing Look for Love
M0n3y Posted February 9, 2017 Posted February 9, 2017 Jaded in Chicago is a definite first. Then some shows from before '92-'93 Paper Lanterns and 80, here I come!

Maid Meringue Posted February 9, 2017 Posted February 9, 2017 I'm torn between their local (pre-lookout) days, the Insomniac tours, or their 2009 shows.
greendepent Posted February 9, 2017 Posted February 9, 2017 Some show from 95-96. Just to catch No Pride live

RedundantIdiot Posted February 9, 2017 Posted February 9, 2017 There are three places I'd go back to: 1: The Dookie era 2: The American Idiot era 3: My 1st GD concert at Leeds last Sunday
