Jon Benjamin Posted February 5, 2017 Posted February 5, 2017 http://pitchfork.com/news/71369-music-journalist-marc-spitz-dead-at-47/?mbid=social_facebook Nobody Likes You was a damn good book. Sad news.
21guns&novacaine Posted February 5, 2017 Posted February 5, 2017 What??? No... Nobody Likes You is the only Green Day book I've been able to finish, and I throughly enjoyed every moment of reading it. So sad.
lynny Posted February 5, 2017 Posted February 5, 2017 Aww sad news. Nobody Likes You was a great book. My mom bought me the book back in 2006 (?) and despite not being a Green Day fan at the time, she read it, thoroughly enjoyed it and as a result started listening to their music and has been a fan ever since.
Todd Posted February 5, 2017 Posted February 5, 2017 It really was a great book. Sad to hear of his passing.
Fuzz Posted February 5, 2017 Posted February 5, 2017 Damn, that sucks. His book is easily the best one ever released about the band. Damn only 47.
MaraGreenDay Posted February 5, 2017 Posted February 5, 2017 How sad. I want to read this book so bad, but I just can't find it
21guns&novacaine Posted February 5, 2017 Posted February 5, 2017 Just now, MaraGreenDay said: How sad. I want to read this book so bad, but I just can't find it I got my copy on Amazon. You might be able to find it at a major bookstore like Barnes & Noble if you have that where you live.
unextraordinarygirl Posted February 5, 2017 Posted February 5, 2017 That's too bad, RIP! I really like that book. I've read it twice.
The Grohl Posted February 5, 2017 Posted February 5, 2017 Wow sad to hear the news. I've read quite a few of his works.
LizTheRusher Posted February 5, 2017 Posted February 5, 2017 This is so sad. This was one of my favorite books in elementary school and as I was tidying up my room the other day, I stumbled upon it again. I even mentioned it in one of my college essays about nonfiction books. R.I.P.
DeJennsitized Posted February 5, 2017 Posted February 5, 2017 Damn that's sad. I got the book for Christmas 2006 and loved it. RIP!
UNICORN VOMIT Posted February 5, 2017 Posted February 5, 2017 Geez I think we have all read it - I remember borrowing it from the library. RIP
jengd Posted February 5, 2017 Posted February 5, 2017 Yep, me too , definitely the best book on GD so far that I've come across, shame.
Beathe. Posted February 5, 2017 Posted February 5, 2017 That's awful news. He was only in his 40s. Rest in peace.
Hermione Posted February 5, 2017 Posted February 5, 2017 Oh how sad , he was so young. Good writer, I really enjoyed that book.
MissHoliday228 Posted February 5, 2017 Posted February 5, 2017 Okay, this is really creepy! It's not like I attract death or something (that would be ridiculous) but... Nelson Mandela died during the time we talked about him in our English lessons in school (tenth grade): At the beginning of that unit we draw his birth date on our poster, in the end we had the death date as well. That was really creepy A rather famous German politician died during the one hour (!) we talked about him in history class: by the end of the lesson someone opened the web browser on his computer and saw that he just died minutes ago?! And now, Marc Spitz died after I bought that book two days before...
Second favourite son Posted February 5, 2017 Posted February 5, 2017 This is really sad to hear. Time to reread Nobody Likes You I think.
Billie Hoe Posted February 5, 2017 Posted February 5, 2017 I wonder what the cause of his death was Rip
Mar Posted February 5, 2017 Posted February 5, 2017 Wow, I've yet to read Nobody Likes You, but I enjoyed his work in Spin. RIP, sir.
Jean Posted February 5, 2017 Posted February 5, 2017 Haven't read the book yet but it's been sitting in my Amazon shopping cart for a while now. Might go buy it later.
Thatsername Posted February 5, 2017 Posted February 5, 2017 That's so sad, he was still so young. I have to re-read the book again now, it's great.
Marki. Posted February 5, 2017 Posted February 5, 2017 Really sad news I should reread the book too, I read it about 8 years ago when my English skills were still limited and I hardly remember any of it now.
herewegoagain Posted February 5, 2017 Posted February 5, 2017 That's a shame I haven't read Nobody Likes you yet but 47 is obviousy way too young.
LostCanadianGoose Posted February 5, 2017 Posted February 5, 2017 I've read that book at least 5 times. Great read front to back and I recommend any Green Day fan to read it
