Paola17 Posted February 1, 2017 Posted February 1, 2017 Here are a few articles mentioning the 23rd anniversary of "Dookie". Not necessarily a milestone, but thought it was sweet nonetheless. http://www.fuse.tv/2014/01/green-day-dookie-20-years?utm_campaign=fuse&utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=social&campaign=scl|fbk|fsc http://loudwire.com/green-day-dookie-album-anniversary/
The Grohl Posted February 1, 2017 Posted February 1, 2017 Happy Anniversary to such an iconic and awesome album!
Train27 Posted February 1, 2017 Posted February 1, 2017 I love that Dookie came out on my Birthday 2 years before I was born. February 1st, 1996 (:

DookieLukie Posted February 1, 2017 Posted February 1, 2017 These articles by alt magazines always make me roll my eyes when they talk about who Green Day influenced. All those album that "wouldn't have existed without Dookie" are garbage.

desertrose Posted February 3, 2017 Posted February 3, 2017 23 Years Ago: Punk Goes Mainstream With Green Day's 'Dookie' Green Day first started to create some buzz in 1990 with the release of 39/Smooth and in 1991 with the release of Kerplunk, that's when the major record labels started ringing. http://www.waaf.com/blogs/23-years-ago-punk-goes-mainstream-green-days-dookie

Especially when artists go on about how someone 'was such a major influence' on them, and their shit sounds literally like nothing even in the same realm as the influence.
FallingFromTheStars Posted February 4, 2017 Posted February 4, 2017 Is it dumb that I'm sad that this album came out just months before I was born?
St. Jonny Posted February 5, 2017 Posted February 5, 2017 Green Jelly is hilarious and Weird Al's Bad Hair Day is one of the best albums ever!
CreepyRebel Posted February 7, 2017 Posted February 7, 2017 Awesome to know that Dookie is 23 right now! Here's a drawing that I made back when I was 17. I did this back when Dookie turned 20 three years ago.
