I think they were announced the day or a couple of days before they happened and we were lucky enough to get tickets both times (we made sure we were on the website as soon as they went on sale but I think it can be a question of luck or how fast your Internet is. Also the secret shows over here were bigger than some (2000 and 5000 capacity) whereas some are really tiny like 250 capacity and it must be super difficult to get tickets to those, especially for Green Day.
