Has Kevin turned into a vampire? Is he going to bite us? And are @The Grohl and @Montclare OK with this? 🤣

I hadn't realised at first there were more photos attached to Tre's post so here you go

I got this from the Green Day LIVE on Tour Facebook page but it originally came from Sara's Instagram. More anniversary commemoration. Such a beautiful photo! ❤️

He’s posted again with Tarantula playing over it, saying “somebody should come out of retirement and write a song about it” but I can’t share it.

Mike just straight up had a tarantula wander through his yard today! Jealous. I'd love to have a tarantula just cruise by like that. So cool! I didn't know they were found so far north, but I just looked it up and apparently there are a few species around the Bay Area and it's the perfect time of year to see the males out wandering long distances to find females. This little man was probably out on a mission to hunt down a lady friend. Looks like it is probably Aphonopelma iodius.

Pretty sure Mike doesn’t live in the Bay Area anymore and that he’s in Southern California.

I wanted a pet tarantula in the worst way when I was about 8. Not quite *that* into them anymore, but I still think they are just super cool and fascinating.

I've toyed with the idea of getting a pet tarantula. But then I'm worried if it were to get out I'd freak and my first instinct would be to squash it 😩

Ew no LOL, I would’ve just squished it before it even gets around to finding their “lady friend”🤣

I would probably just run away from it if it got too close LOL. Kinda depends on the situation. If it was just sitting all chill somewhere I would probably just grab it and toss it back in its habitat. If it came at me quickly or startled me I would probably freak out and run away. Unfortunately, if it got out it would probably die on its own if it were out for a few days. I understand they have to stay under a heat lamp. It wouldn't survive outside in Chicago for very long, especially in winter.

Also, for those who were wondering, it turns out there ARE tarantulas in the Bay Area. I just found this article about the mating season currently going on there. I learned some cool stuff about how they mate, but just as a trigger warning, if you click this link, you will be immediately greeted with a large photo of a large brown fuzzy tarantula. https://www.businessinsider.com/tarantulas-emerge-to-mate-san-francisco-bay-area-2019-10

Also, on the Green Day LIVE on Tour Facebook page, there is VIDEO of the tarantula from Mike's IG story: https://www.facebook.com/GreenDayLIVEonTour/videos/356831916276253

And here is a video of Tre running through a corn maze, courtesy of Sara's IG story: https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=1548785075460252

Follow up: I thought the tarantula article was current, but it appears it is from 2019. Regardless, October is the mating season, and there is a population in the Bay Area.

Hmm, that's too bad. Nevertheless, there are tarantulas that come out during early fall for mating season in the Bay Area.

In the original story, he was talking to it and said "Someone should write a song about you" and then encouraged it to go into the neighbor's yard.

They bought Mickey a fish and fishbowl but he knocked it over wanting to play with the fish. It broke and Tre went to get another one. The fish is called "Goldie"
