@pacejunkie punk I don't feel that the fans did anything wrong. I think he's just stating a musician (or artist) should do what they want creatively to be fulfilling not what others expect them to do based on past work.

Yeah, like an actual official announcement about the EU Hella Mega dates being cancelled?? Seriously, 2 shows are already cancelled and there hasn’t been an official announcement from the band yet. Ticket sites are still selling tickets.

I really don’t think it has anything to do with the HM tour either. People are reading too much into this.

Billie has been very inactive lately.  So has Tré, for that matter. I'm not concerned, just sad because their posts make me really happy in an otherwise depressing existence right now.

Billie has an excuse at least. I don’t mind that he’s not posting much because I know he’s hard at work writing new songs, finishing remixes, recording covers, shooting videos and TV specials.  That stuff makes me happy.  I would much rather he keep doing all that than make shit posts about Lenny or sharing fifty fan covers.

But Mike and Tre have no excuse whatsoever.

They don't need an "excuse" though. If Billie just wanted to share fan covers, we wouldn't have any right to complain. That's actually a great thing to do in a time like this - not only is it keeping people motivated and occupied, but it's making everyone he reposts incredibly happy. It's a lot of work to find and repost them all too! I'm not personally interested in watching them all, but that doesn't make my preference (which would be more fabulous trilogy remixes) more valuable.

Also, to be fair to Mike and Tre, very few people are genuinely interested in them outside of Green Day. Their management know that, which is why in a situation where the band can't get together, it's just Billie doing the promo.
