I thought it was just a Green Day themed/inspired Laser light show?

Looks cool anyway. Better than my New Years Eve for sure :P

I wonder if this light show will still be on in the beginning of April, when GD are playing in Vegas.

Hubby and I are hoping the same. We'll  all have to go together to check it out!

There is discussion about it being replicated for a much less of an entry fee or none at all the night before the April show on Fremont. Of course they don't want to advertise that because APS wants to sell tickets to the NYE one.

I believe the discussion is about how apropos it is for April.

Ooohhh, keep us posted on anything you hear.  After NYE, of course!  :)

New Year’s Eve guests will also be treated to the premiere of a new Viva Vision light show featuring Green Day, “Revolution Vegas.”

The five-time Grammy Award-winning artists will premiere a six-minute compilation show with their songs “Bang Bang,” “Good Riddance” and “Holiday.”

Green Day Light Show to Debut at Las Vegas’ Fremont Street Experience on New Year’s Eve

Looking for the time of your life on New Year’s Eve? Green Day‘s music may help provide it. The band’s songs will be the subject of the new Green Day – Revolution Vegas light show from Viva Vision, which will debut as part of the Fremont Street Experience in Las Vegas on New Year’s Eve.

According to the band, the show will include the songs “Bang Bang,” “Good Riddance” and “Holiday,” which should make for an illuminating set for those on hand. To get a little better idea of what to expect, check out the trailer promoting the Fremont Street Experience in the player above, though it doesn’t include the Green Day music.

In addition to the premiere of the Green Day-themed light show, those participating in the New Year’s Eve bash will be treated to music from 15 bands on three stage and will also have a chance to “fly into the New Year” Superman-style on the SlotZilla Zoomline. Las Vegas Mayor Carolyn Goodman will also be on hand for the festivities. To learn more about Las Vegas’ Fremont Street Experience and to get tickets to attend, click here.

It’s been a solid year for Green Day, who returned to primarily positive reviews for their latest album Revolution Radio. The band will expand their touring in support of the disc in the New Year. Stay tuned to this location for dates.

:ermm: wow. Six whole minutes.

I also love that they choose Bang Bang, Good Riddance and Holiday. Cheery stuff to ring in the new year to.

Would be pretty dumb if they didn't have it going the week of the GD show in April.

Didn't they play Boulevard of Broken Dreams at the 2005 MTV NYE party?

This would be a cool thing to do/see on NYE! I agree that they didn't choose the most cheerful songs though

So did anyone witness this?

Only thing i saw was this on twitter

Light and water shows in Vegas are always around that time or even shorter. People's attention spans don't last much longer than that.

Is the light show featuring GD's song still on? I thought it was for a limited time only for the new year's celebration or something.

It's great if it's still going on, then fans coming for the show tonight can come check it out it too.

Also, it's so weird hearing Good Riddance followed by Holiday...I'm so used to Good Riddance being the last song :D
