What are your favourite Green Day moments of 2016? They can be anything related to Green Day including posts or threads in this forum.

Here's mine:

* Billie's Instagram video from the recording studio which got me excited for the new album

* The Ordinary World (Geezer) premiere with Blond Billie

* The announcement that Bang Bang was the 1st single and the wait to hear it

* Hearing Bang Bang for the 1st time as it's one of my favourite GD songs

* My technophobe Dad using the laptop to buy me a ticket for the Leeds gig :runaround:

* Buying Rev Rad and listening to it

* Having my finest hour on GDC by creating the 5th November Facebook live thread which is possibly the funniest thread here

* The EMA + AMA performances

Definitely waiting to hear Bang Bang on the radio for the first time and being blown away by it, and sharing all the excitement on GDC. Also, reading and hearing so many heart-warming and entertaining interviews they did this year. And, finding out they're playing in my country because the people running their website messed up :P (and having it confirmed finally).

-When Billie announced they had a new song (Bang Bang).

-Their first Facebook Live on OTIS, cause it was so cute an amazing.

-American Music Awards performance, forever one of my favorites.

-Listening Revolution Radio for the first time <3

But honestly all of them, Green Day made 2016 so beautiful and magical, this year was so awesome because of them

- Favourite moment's gotta be hearing Bang Bang on the radio, in work, with my earphones on, with my annoying co-worker asking me yet another question halfway through the song. But it being okay because Virgin Radio then played it again :D

- Also, the moment I found out they were coming to Belfast. After reading a tweet from the promoter the night before about a huge concert announcement and thinking, like I always do when I see a tweet like that, "gosh wouldn't it be cool if it were Green Day lol i can dream." AND THEN IT WAS REAL!

- Seeing American Idiot in Belfast. And embarrassing myself by running my mouth off to Lucas Rush (St Jimmy) :tired:

- Buying the RevRad CD in Toronto. Also being able to see their performance on Jimmy Fallon whilst in Toronto.

- That Facebook live thread.

- No Trump! No KKK! No Fascist USA!

I just loved the moment we found out new GD music was happening. The morning when they dropped Bang Bang was so exciting. I saw by the radio waiting for it to come on and then we all freaked out about it on GDC, so just that excitement was really great. I haven't been that excited for an album in a while.

Also, seeing GD at Aragon Ballroom was amazing and of course their AMA performance. Can't beat that.

Everything has been great GD-wise this year! My highlight was probably their amazing comeback with Bang Bang (and also getting my Dublin ticket!!)

Most of mine are personal anecdotes, but it was a really exciting year to be a fan!

-getting a ticket to a small club tour on my first try

-taking a solo roadtrip to see them in Detroit, which was a big deal for me and my social anxiety, and having an amazing time

-when I asked my 2yr old daughter what we should listen to and she suggested "maybe...Green Day?" (Proud parent moment 😜)

-watching the AMAs and feeling like I was taking part in a special moment that will be talked about in GD history for years to come

-the tour video they gave of OTIS and seeing BJ play Little Richard on the jukebox 😉

-finishing a first draft of a story I've been writing about growing up a weirdo loner catholic school girl in the 90s, and how finding the band shaped my life and was intertwined in the relationships with my two best friends

-watching The Ride documentary and getting so sentimental for the early years of the band, and my journey with them over all these 20+ years

-hearing Armatage Shanks and J.A.R.  live for the first time, and hearing Scattered again for the first time since the Nimrod tour

-Adrienne's IG post when BJ sent her 1,000 roses for her birthday

-feeling so proud of BJ and the band for coming so far after hearing the lyrics for Still Breathing for the first time

-getting the Coming Clean skeleton from the Dookie insert tattooed on me

-hearing Larry Livermore talk about his Lookout Records book and getting all emotional thinking about how much the band means to me and how he indirectly made such a difference in my life by his relationship with the band. Getting to tell him all this after the show when he signed my book and we took a photo, and almost crying when I tried to explain how much it meant, haha.

- That Facebook live thread.

- Also, as @End Of The World mentioned, joining GDC. One of the best decisions I've made in a very long time.

- Buying tickets for the Gothenburg show. I'm so excited to go somewhere on my own, just to see a band I love.

- RevRad being released, obviously.

I can't think of a better way to announce a show :P Really, during that week I was trying to explain to my parents that this is how things sometimes are with this band and got very weird looks.

Also the livestream treason.

hearing bang bang on the radio & turning up the volume.

The guys clothes have been on point - honourable mention the suspenders.

& thank goodness my best board bud @Scattered Wreck talked me into listening to the leak because Warner AUSTRALIA was so on time delivering my album to AUSTRIA 😋

The release of Rev Rad of course!

seeing some of the live stream videos from the first concerts!

BANG BANG and Still Breathing tearing up the charts!

And one that hasn't happened yet but will:   When Youngblood becomes the biggest song Green Day ever released and all you guys wine about it.

OH I forgot one - whoever found the source code from the official site that revealed the album name. That was fucking amazing!

Also I noticed someone mentioned joining GDC. It was one of the best moments for me too! :D

Watching the first video of the studio tour and  recording. It got me so excited and hopeful for the new record. I think Billie recorded it.

Hearing when Bang Bang was being released and on that day driving 8 miles into town from our cottage to get wifi to listen to it. Then sitting outside that bar listening to it 4 or more times in a row and loving it.

The facebook live video at Otis studio. It was funny, interesting and awesome!

Again being up at our cottage and having to drive into town to hear Revolution Radio song.

Being so hella excited to get tickets to a club show in Detroit and see GD for the first time. Unfortunately, that didn't work out due to band illness; then changed date. But then found out that they were coming back around in Spring and getting tickets for 2 shows so excitement is back on!

Downloading Rev Rad early ( pre-release) and hearing it for the first time. It was magic! I listened to it over and over again that night. Then a few weeks later getting my cd in the mail from Amazon. It was on continual play in my care from Oct.-Dec. and will be again after Christmas.

All the appearances on tv, radio, internet.

Sorry this post is so long but there are so many exciting things happening this year! This has been a great year to be a GD fan!

Getting the tickets in the mail was a great feeling! The release of the new album was great, highlight of the year.
