prisoner416 Posted December 16, 2016 Posted December 16, 2016 I know this probably won't be to everyone's taste, but I spent about three or four years trying to track this down so I figured I'd share it. Currently trying to track down the artist and find out how to purchase it or obtain higher quality. Skip to 1:50 for the mixing. Starts slow but builds in. As far as I know, this WAS an official release, so we're not talking American Edit. This was a properly licensed song, commercially released. I know a lot of the purist punks might not enjoy it, but Happy Hardcore is a major throwback to my teen years.
DeJennsitized Posted December 17, 2016 Posted December 17, 2016 I love the idea that Green Day had to approve the use of BOBD for this song it's not my thing at all but always interesting to hear a song from one genre crossing over to a completely different one - it's why i like mashups so much.

It's the only one I know of that actually DID have an official release on vinyl. There's a few versions floating around, most of them speed edits to increase the bpm. I have a few other remixes involving Green Day, but this is an oddity to me. Given that it seems to be an officially licensed release, I've included it in my rare Green Day collection. Sadly, I can't give any more info on the song. I did contact the artist, but he doesn't have the masters on hand.

Just remembered the Brain Stew Godzilla remix - that was cool and I assume an official release since it was on the Godzilla soundtrack?

Well, yeah, but there's a huge difference between a big budget movie soundtrack and an obscure DJ.
