Beyza Posted March 30, 2020 Posted March 30, 2020 Really great news. I’m sure Billie always enjoy doing covers like this and we’ll have a chance to hear songs in different styles from him every other week 1
Give_Me_Novacaine90 Posted March 31, 2020 Posted March 31, 2020 10 MUSICIAN PORTRAIT TATTOOS THAT LOOK LIKE THE REAL THING Billie Joe Armstrong We’re envious of this ultra-realistic sleeve inspired by the Green Day frontman that perfectly captures Billie Joe Armstrong’s personality and onstage looks. https://www.altpress.com/features/realistic-musician-portrait-tattoos 1
GreenDayItaly Posted March 31, 2020 Posted March 31, 2020 13 great punk and rock documentaries to stream right now Don’t Break Down: A Film About Jawbreaker (Amazon Prime) Jawbreaker’s story is perfect for a movie: they become leaders of the underground, they seem poised to break out on a mainstream level (in the film, Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong said he thought they were going to be the connection between Green Day and Nirvana), and just as that’s about to happen, the underground turns on them and the mainstream fails to accept them. As Adam Pfahler tells it, it would’ve been the typical punk band’s “rags to riches to rags” story. But then Don’t Break Down does a great job of portraying how interest in Jawbreaker’s major label flop Dear You skyrocketed after the band broke up, and with a coda of their reunion at Riot Fest 2017 (which would lead to a reunion tour), the Jawbreaker story finally gets the ending it always deserved. http://www.brooklynvegan.com/gdpr/consent/?redirect=/13-great-punk-and-rock-documentaries-to-stream-right-now/?fbclid=IwAR2YXvQGq4kjSkecJrR3bPivC4TrsHHSv5ijFh2n78UFji2HHEiEe1Lg1yY 1
That Dude Posted April 1, 2020 Posted April 1, 2020 BREAKING APRIL'S FOOL HEADLINE: Green Day are staying together. Billie Joe Armstrong is not going solo. This is the one day a year I didn't want to read something like that. OH NO!
Give_Me_Novacaine90 Posted April 2, 2020 Posted April 2, 2020 20 ESSENTIAL SONGS FROM 2000 THAT STILL HOLD UP TODAY 3. Green Day – “Minority” One of the most influential punk groups of all time and recent cover stars Green Day shared their lead single “Minority” from their sixth album, Warning, in 2000. The authority-defying punk track that encourages individualism is coupled with a music video that gives us an idea of what the band would look like if they were a part of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. In typical 2000s fashion, the visual features funny, now-outdated CGI of the trio as giant balloons. Many of us would still attend that parade today. https://www.altpress.com/features/best-2000-rock-songs 1
WorryRock02 Posted April 2, 2020 Posted April 2, 2020 Post’s tour photographer, Adam Degross, shared a clip of them playing the game while hosting Cartoon Network’s late-night programming Adult Swim when the Green Day legend commented saying he played for the first time against the rapper. https://www.altpress.com/news/billie-joe-armstrong-post-malone-first-ever-beer-pong-game/ Also Mark and Matt from blink-182 talked a little about Green Day in the new NME's interview ( Skiba jokes about Mike Dirnt stealing Cereals Killer idea and then Hoppus says he doesn't know why blinks weren't contacted to participate at the Hella Mega Tour and that he would have liked to do it )

Thatsername Posted April 6, 2020 Posted April 6, 2020 Cancellation wave is now rolling in Europe. Austria banned concerts until the end of June. So the Green Day Vienna gig is officially cancelled. I expected it, but now that it's happening, I'm still sad. More cancellations will follow within the next few days, I guess. Edit: Sorry I should have posted this in the Hella Mega thread, I didn't even remember we had this one.
