jumpsalty Posted October 17, 2014 Posted October 17, 2014 Kerrang do have an actual interview with Matt Grocott coming up, so I wouldn't get your hopes up too much
AlissaGoesRAWR Posted October 18, 2014 Posted October 18, 2014 Yeah, Kerrang rarely publishes actual/original Green Day news, it's all just rehashed.
Spike Posted October 18, 2014 Posted October 18, 2014 Yeah, Kerrang rarely publishes actual/original Green Day news, it's all just rehashed. I guess they don't have much choice when there's nothing going on with the band yet they need to shoehorn them into every issue.
AlissaGoesRAWR Posted October 18, 2014 Posted October 18, 2014 I guess they don't have much choice when there's nothing going on with the band yet they need to shoehorn them into every issue. It's painful. 1
Seanz25 Posted October 18, 2014 Posted October 18, 2014 Either they'll do what they always do and rehash old news. Or the band will have felt so sorry for them never getting any exclusive news that they'll have given them some. Hahaha.
Popular Post lizziebix Posted October 18, 2014 Popular Post Posted October 18, 2014 I know we all tease about Kerrang rehashing old Green Day stuff but I'm just happy at least one magazine is still talking about them. Makes them less forgotten even in this down time. 7

insomniax Posted October 22, 2014 Posted October 22, 2014 Don't know if this is worthy news but it popped up on my newsfeed. http://en.mediamass.net/people/billie-joe-armstrong/highest-paid.html And now I noticed that it was bullshit more or less but at least the last part is a bit funny

mies Posted October 23, 2014 Posted October 23, 2014 The website is all in dutch but if you listening to the audio fragment you will hear that they're calling the restaurant where green day played on october 17th 1987 http://www.3fm.nl/a/161447
Cruise Posted October 23, 2014 Posted October 23, 2014 Green Day mentioned here http://musicfeeds.com.au/news/judge-how-dumb-you-are-based-on-the-music-you-listen-to/ you see by Griffith’s estimations that smart people prefer The Shins, David Bowie and Muse over The Doors, Metallica or Foo Fighters and that the intellectual middle ground is populated by fans of Green Day, Tool, Oasis, System of a Down, Kanye West and Pearl Jam.

This is ridiculous. Pick some of THE biggest artists - Bowie, Metallica, Oasis, Muse, Green Day etc and make sweeping statements and judgements about the intellectual capacities of everyone who listens to them...yeah now THAT'S smart. Dumbest shit I have ever heard and that says a lot.
Chin for a Day Posted October 23, 2014 Posted October 23, 2014 This is nice article. http://www.mndaily.com/blogs/ae-blog/2014/10/22/mainstream-punk-retrospective-green-day 1

The person got bored and just graphed it. He even says in the article that it contains no scientific merit.

JOE THE X-KID Posted October 25, 2014 Posted October 25, 2014 Anyone notice Green Day changed their profile picture on Facebook? 1
angry_robot Posted October 25, 2014 Posted October 25, 2014 Anyone notice Green Day changed their profile picture on Facebook? probably their management finally remembered that Green Day exist. that would also explain recent posts from bands' ig account. 4
Cruise Posted October 25, 2014 Posted October 25, 2014 It seems to me as though they have hired someone new to run the page. As the account rarely used to post stuff and when it did it was normally pretty late, it seems to be pretty up to date for a change. I have seen the hall of fame post a couple of times now, so it seems like who ever is now running it is taking it seriously.

They are trying to draw attention to the band again in anticipation of the Hall of Fame. Also, to get people voting more often, even though the vote doesn't mean much. I know I keep getting reminders to vote.
DookieLukie Posted October 25, 2014 Posted October 25, 2014 Anyone notice Green Day changed their profile picture on Facebook? Obvi means new album 3
JOE THE X-KID Posted October 25, 2014 Posted October 25, 2014 Obvi means new album I wasn't implying this haha, it just seemed kinda random.
