Green Day's AMA Rant Is Being Used At College Protests

This video popped up in my recommended. Couldn't help but notice the protesters chanting Green Day's infamous "No Trump, No KKK, No fascist USA." I guess their performance really did go more viral than I thought.

I like the chant and good marketing job

In the interest of being factual, the chant was used as early as the day after the election by protesters. Green Day definitely made it a lot more famous but it's worth noting they didn't invent it.

No Green Day used the chant the protesters were using.

It's so painful watching someone actually having to point this out.

I thought MDC created it and then the protesters used it?

Not that vile Milo creature again.

Yea SUCH a vile person, he actually goes out to talk to people who have been criticized for exercising their freedom of religion. :toocool:

And yes, Billie Joe copycatted a very common chant from these college hipsters.

I much prefer the "Yay, Go Trump!" chant. :runaround:

It's an edited lyric from MDC's song born to die. The actual lyric is "No War, No KKK, No Fascist USA", the protesters edited that lyric for their protest against Trump and Green Day used that edited version during their AMA performance.

Well that's my understanding of it anyway. Either way the protesters were not copying Green Day, it was the other way around. There is nothing wrong with that of course.

Isn't that the guy who called Leslie Jones an ape? Yeah, what an incredibly nice guy.

Glad we agree

All this says to me is you have nothing to back up his actions.

Why would I need to...? Every human on this earth has opinions on people's looks. It's not my fault he finds her revolting. Doesn't make him a bad person, having opinions that differ from your own. Leslie Jones also thinks there's a difference between Free Speech and Hate Speech, which is ridiculously false, but she has every right to hold onto them.

Yes, some people might have horrible opinions on how other people look. The difference between having those thoughts and sharing them for entertainment, or to intentionally hurt others, is a little thing called empathy.

I just showed you a video where he was showing plenty of empathy for a family who was unfairly criticized. Are you saying you yourself have never done anything or said anything that wasn't "empathetic" towards someone? If you want to argue a point, it only works in your favor to at least represent your dissenting (opposing) viewpoint's argument fairly (from Dinesh D'souza if anybody wanted a reference for that philosophy).

The guy was permanently suspended from Twitter for his remarks. When you consider how rare that is, I think it speaks for itself.

That's a terrible argument considering Twitter is doing terrible for a good amount of time now (losing users, stocks falling, etc...). Besides, they have been caught banning/locking users out without any reason given other than "a violated terms of service notification." And considering Twitter all but ignores BLM, Muslim terrorists, and Anti-Trump supporters' threatening tweets (quote unquote abuse), while making an effort to all but silence inconvenient political tweets/accounts (making sure certain stories/tweets don't pop up too far on searches/feeds) ultimately doesn't favor your statement.

http://rationalwiki.org/wiki/Washington_Examiner

"The Washington Examiner is a right-wing political journal that goes into the areas you usually expect such publications to go into. It could be thought of as Townhall.com's more "respectable" cousin but even with that being said the site looks like a tabloid desperately trying to pass off as real news. It's not uncommon to see it used as a source among more extreme right-wingers who seem to like how proper the site pretends to be."
