onionbubs Posted November 9, 2016 Posted November 9, 2016 Since it leaked I immediately thought RevRad was kind of all over the place. A lot of songs sounded like they could work together, but they were ordered weirdly so the album didn't flow great. Here's an alternate trackilst I made myself. Give it a try to see if you dig or nah. 1. Somewhere Now 2. Bang Bang 3. Revolution Radio 4. Concrete Dream (Bouncing off the wall is a bad song title haha) 5. Too Dumb to Die 6. Youngblood 7. Outlaws 8. Say Goodbye 9. Troubled Times 10. Forever Now I cut Still Breathing and Ordinary World, because I couldn't find anywhere in the album that it would fit, and I don't really like it or Ordinary World that much (Forever Now is too much of an album closer to not wrap up the album haha). Give it a spin just to see if ya dig these songs in a different context.
petros Posted November 9, 2016 Posted November 9, 2016 I like how you went as far as to change the tittle of a song
Billie Hoe Posted November 9, 2016 Posted November 9, 2016 Why not Celebrity Martyr instead of Bang Bang

If that was the title I wouldn't have been scared shitless when the track was announced lol

One tracklist in the rotation was putting it after youngblood and swapping say goodbye and outlaws, which was the only place still breathing felt kinda in place. The problem with Still Breathing is how not Green Day it is. That's obviously not any reason to write off the song as I actually kinda dig it, but I just couldn't find a place to put it where it didn't feel off.
LPbilliejr Posted November 9, 2016 Posted November 9, 2016 Not gonna lie....unpopular opinion, Bouncing Off the Walls is my favorite title over Concrete Dream. Reminds me of Insomniac song titles
Shahd Posted November 9, 2016 Posted November 9, 2016 The only thing I would change in your track list is Outlaws after Youngblood, maybe I'd put it after Say Goodbye. Also why Still Breathing won't fit after Troubled Times?! After troubling times he's still breathing then his life on the wild life becomes so full?! Maybe I have a strange way of looking at it, I don't know.

Maybe I have a strange way of looking at it, I don't know. You know, that's a pretty interesting outlook conceptually. I always viewed Troubled Times as a song that was more about external conflicts, and Still Breathing more internal, but I see how that would be pretty cool. The only problem is I ordered it specifically so the darker sounding songs (Troubled Times and Say Goodbye) were towards the back of the album with "Outlaws" as a transition into it. And Still Breathing is the lightest sounding song they've ever put on the record, even if the lyrics may suggest otherwise
Thatsername Posted November 9, 2016 Posted November 9, 2016 I like the tracklist exactly the way it is on the album

Reminds me of Insomniac song titles Except the title is actually Bouncing Off the Wall (no s) which makes it the most ridiculous Green Day song title of all time This tracklist isn't really that different from the real one, still a Somewhere Now/Forever Now sandwich (minus the Ordinary World afterthought). I kind of the like idea of Say Goodbye being saved for nearer the end like that, but overall I prefer it with all the songs.

Yea what immediately stood out on my first listen was that Say Goodbye and Outlaws didn't gel. Tbh I would be fine if they just took those songs and moved em after Too Dumb to Die, and then kept the rest of the tracklist the same
