are b-sides no longer a thing? if i recall correctly we didnt really get any with the trilogy either. it would be a shame if they stopped doing b-sides altogether considering most of the ones for american idiot and 21cb were great songs.

ps- i know theres a live version of letterbomb with the bang bang single but im specifically talking about new material.

cause singles with b sides for the most part aren't a thing as much as they used to be a few years back nowadays it's mainly a digital single with just the song

Didnt some foreign site list a song called "True-Colors" as a bonus track or something? So theres probably at LEAST that, MAYBE a studio recording of Devil's Kind or something too, im not sure.

Only one I can think of from the trilogy was that demo of a song they put on demolicious. I can't even remember what it was called though. As for this era I'm happy I got an album that I like, if some other songs that didn't make the cut show up later great, if not, I have enough in RevRad.

Also in the reddit AMA someone asked if there'll be B-Sides and Tre said Nope but Mike said Maybe so we MIGHT get some but maybe not.

I don't mind if there aren't any. Sure, some b sides by some bands are fantastic (I'm looking at you, Muse), but for the most part it just seems like a marketing ploy. "Here, buy a song you've already got so you can also get a song we didn't think was good enough for the album."

I love and miss b-sides. Green Day always had great b-sides.

Devil's Kind is probably the one B-side that hasn't come out yet. The studio version is in the background of the "Ordinary World" trailer but I know they have something up their sleeve for the future. The trilogy can be described as essentially one album with a shit-ton of b-sides lol

I really miss having some new b-sides.
