Rumpelstiltskin2000 Posted October 14, 2016 Posted October 14, 2016 I know I've posted this in the tweets thread but such exciting news possibly deserves it's own thread? 30,880 copies sold The BBC have also reported on it: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-37657357
Second favourite son Posted October 14, 2016 Posted October 14, 2016 Awesome! Here's the link to the chart in case anyone wants to see for themselves. The album is top of every chart (that it's eligible for) except streaming. Was hoping for this, but not expecting it.
DookieLukie Posted October 14, 2016 Posted October 14, 2016 Who cares? I didn't get a ticket. I wish GD was unpopular so I could get a ticket.
stories and songs Posted October 14, 2016 Posted October 14, 2016 Wow, this is only their third one? Super awesome.

Well you would've thought that Dookie was a No. 1 album but its first week sales were poor as the album didn't get success until a little while after the release. Also Uno probably would've got a No. 1 if it was released another week

solongfromthestars Posted October 14, 2016 Posted October 14, 2016 I'm so happy to my favourite band being relevant in the UK again

Billie Hoe Posted October 14, 2016 Posted October 14, 2016 Ahhh I just saw it's currently at #2 in Germany! I'm seriously surprised by this, I didn't think they were that popular here anymore. They're still climbing it seems. http://www.mix1.de/charts/longplaycharts.htm It's #1 in Ireland as "Highest Debut", as well as Italy
MaraGreenDay Posted October 14, 2016 Posted October 14, 2016 That's so awesome! RevRad is #2 in the most important record store in México, that's something, right?

I had already lost my hopes in the German's taste of music, but obviously I was wrong. Hope we'll finally get some airplay now!
Alan86 Posted October 14, 2016 Posted October 14, 2016 https://acharts.co/ireland_albums_top_100 number 1 in Ireland too

RedundantIdiot Posted October 15, 2016 Posted October 15, 2016 I'm so happy they're number 1, I wanted it to happen but I'm surprised that it actually happened. When I saw that one republic had an album out the same day as GD I thought they'd beat GD to number 1
End Of The World Posted October 15, 2016 Posted October 15, 2016 The great thing is that even if RevRad was released after a bad commercial performance (Uno, Dos and Trè), while 21st Century Breakdown after an "explosion" in the media (American Idiot), the chart positions are the same. Again, waiting for US charts!
