IMO, there are 6 Green Day Eras. Is your favorite Green Day Era,

---Lookout Era? (1039 Smoothed Out Slappy and Kerplunk)

---Mid 90's Era? (Dookie, Insomniac and Nimrod)

---Warning Era? (Warning, International Superhits and Shenanigans)

---American Idiot Era? (AI, 21st Century Breakdown and Musical)

---Trilogy Era? (Uno, Dos and Tre)

---Revolution Radio Era?

I'm one of the weird ones who loved the trilogy, and loved the iheart rant. That's probably my favorite.

21st Century Breakdown era for me personally. Not only is that my favorite album of all time but it was also my favorite tour of theirs. The performances, the stage theatrics, everything about those shows was perfect. Awesome As Fuck is also my favorite live album of all time as well. There wasn't one thing about that era that I didn't like.

Mid 90's

Mud fights, blue hair, baggy pants, best music.

Breakdown. That was by far the best tour they've done, both in terms of production and individual performances. Billie's voice was the best it's ever been, and on a personal level I was able to appreciate it more than the AI era because I was older and knew their back catalogue by that point.

I've got a good feeling about the Rev Rad era!

Definitely the 90's! When I first got into Green Day as a kid, I would watch videos of them during that time and be in awe at how badass they were. I loved their attitude, I loved their sound. They were so effortlessly cool. It's kind of funny because I got into the band during the AI era, but the 90's era has always summed up in essence what Green Day represents to me personally.

AI, cause that's when I became a fan and it's one of my favourite albums, and also 21st century breakdown tince that was the first time I got to see them live and it was amazing.

AI/21CB because that was when I discovered them, and carried through my adolescent years during which they and their music were vitally important to me. I can't really give an objective opinion, so there's no point in trying :P

Eh I'm going to say AI because thats the first album I heard and the first tour I saw them on. However if i had a time machine I feel like the dookie/90's era shows would've been even more incredible.

All of them! No, if I had to chose I absolutely loved the 21CB tour.

The 21CB era was a pretty great time, for all the reasons listed above. It was the first era I was able to experience from start to finish, which was special.

That said, I already like the RevRad era even more. :) The best is yet to come, no doubt.

Personally i loved their attitude and energy in the 90s. They were so unpredictable. Unfortunately missed them in 96 but the 98 show was the most fun show ive ever seen.

AI was probably the best in terms of professionalism.. plus that album and tour blew me away.... twice! Its the only time theyve toured to Australia on the same album and the stadium show was epic.

All of them are good in their own way. I'm going for AI as that's when I discovered them.

AI and 21CB eras were so great because suddenly everyone was into Green Day and they became really, really popular round here at that time. There was so much happening in my life, too. GD accompanied me through my final years of school and through university... I grew up, and GD grew up with me. And their open air show on July 1st 2010 in Mainz was one of the best days of my whole live. Especially seeing 21 Guns for the first (and only:sorry:) time being played live blew me off my feet.

But I really enjoy the RevRad era a lot so far. Everything feels so unforced and funny right now. I love that. Who knows what this era will bring, it only just started!

definitely 90's. It's when I got into them and nimrod just makes me feel so nostalgic because I saw them on that tour and I remember taping their music videos and interviews on TV and watching them over and over, and I went out of my way to track down all the CD singles with rare tracks, it was a fun era, and I loved how they were still angry back then. I also loved them being a power trio

this...I'm on the 90's train as well

nothing could beat the feeling of walking into a new record store and uncovering an import/bootleg you'd never heard before...it just made you crave more

not to mention, the internet was still fresh and social media non-existent, so people still debated musical tastes in person

Breakdown era for me! I got into them during the AI era but didn't get to see them live until 2009. The buildup to 21st Century Breakdown's release was so exciting, and the overall production of the shows I got to go to was just unbelievable  Way better than when I saw them on the 99 Revolution Tour.

I'm really optimistic that the RevRad era could be a great time to be a Green Day fan too :D

I am biased due to the nostalgia. I too got into Green Day in like 2006 when the tour was over. Between 2006 and 2009, I listened to Green Day nonstop and when the shows finally came, they were incredible. Incredible performances, lighting, etc.

21st Century Breakdown.

Well odds are people are gonna say the more recent era (AI and later) because most of us were actually around for those eras whereas a lot of us weren't around for earlier eras

I consider Warning part of/the end of the 90s era.  And that is also, in my opinion, their peak.  Nothing against what came after Warning, but I think their pop-punk phase made better tunes than the arena rock stage we're still in now.

Definitely 21st CB (as many others have said) :D It was the first album release I experienced as a fan and the first time I saw them on tour. That album completely blew me away the first time I listened

I got into them in 2005, was around 11 at the time and found a band that I just got and subsequently became too obsessed with!

It died down a little but like a lot of others it would be 21CB era, that was the first one I experienced start to finish and got to see them live for the first time!  Loved all the album build up and stuff, it was so exciting.

Even if I could have seen them during AI, I was definitely too young. Hell I remember my mum watched BIAB before I did, so she could veto it. Personally I think she just wanted to listen to them again :P

I would have loved to be a fly on the wall during the Lookout days though.

I'm going to go with one not in the list because I'm a rebel.

I like the 2006-2007 Era with polka dot outfits, awesome covers, etc.   I wish that era got more play but it quickly faded into Foxboro Hot Tubs/ Breakdown Era.
