I just didn't understand where he said that the first guitar he had was a hohner LP, wasn't Blue (Fernandes Strat) his first one?

No, he got Blue when he was 11. I think maybe people have just assumed it was his first one because he's famously had it since he was a kid, so that gets written about it mistakenly. There's a bit about it here

My professor finally brought his EW issues into the office! 

The October 14th issue is the one @WhiteTim posted here. Apparently , on the October 7th issue, Revolution Radio was listed as #4 in the magazine's "15 Fresh Songs for Fall" as well (oh, and Norah Jones appeared in that issue as well  )
