Todd Posted October 7, 2016 Posted October 7, 2016 Man, I love all of these new interviews talking about John Oh my god, "Where's Geffen Boulevard?" I don't think Mike's ever made me laugh so hard
Maddie86 Posted October 7, 2016 Posted October 7, 2016 I loved this interview. I think I might actually like this more than the Howard Stern one
GDLoT Posted October 7, 2016 Posted October 7, 2016 ok, I love Billie Joe and all but how great is it to hear from Mike and Tre without almost all the questions usually being answered by Billie Joe? This was a fun, good interview. I loved it.
elisa Posted October 7, 2016 Posted October 7, 2016 i'm half way through the interview and i'm loving it. thanks for the link!
MaraGreenDay Posted October 8, 2016 Posted October 8, 2016 Loved this interview! Love how excited they are for RevRad I really think it was so much better than the one with Stern.
Marki. Posted October 9, 2016 Posted October 9, 2016 Thanks a lot for posting this, it might be one of my favourite interviews they've ever done. I'll probably listen to it more times just as background noise when I'm doing something . You can really hear that with Matt Pinfield it's just like a chat between old friends, I really enjoyed the reminiscing about their beginnings... It's crazy to be reminded now that they had to sleep on old mattresses behind a mattress store when they couldn't persuade anyone to let them stay at their house. I also liked how Mike talked about the Trilogy and concluded it with saying that he doesn't really think they made any mistakes - "If it got us to where we're at right now, then we did something right." And, when he said Still Breathing made him cry... What's really amazing to hear is how incredibly proud they are of Revolution Radio all throughout this interview. I mean, they mention that the nervous/excited feeling they have now before releasing this album is identical to how they felt before releasing American Idiot. And it's reassuring to hear them say again that they're nowhere near done and how appreciative they are of fans. Mike's wise last words: "If you haven't seen Green Day play live before, you're never late to this party. Come on down, it's a good time."
Hermione Posted October 10, 2016 Posted October 10, 2016 This was so great! Mike and Tre (especially Tre) don't always get to talk as much when it's all three of them so it was really nice to hear them talking about the album. I agree it was really fun to hear them reminiscing as old friends with this guy too. Finally I like that Tre is still putting about that couple conceived their kid at a Green Day show and later brought the kid to another show story
