  2. I was honestly shocked when it didn't win a single Grammy. If there was an album to restart Green Day's winning streak it's this one.

  3. I’m really kind of disappointed that Saviors hasn’t gotten more award recognition in general. It deserves to be recognized for the rock great album that it is

  6. Although I'd love a win, I'm just glad it got nomination recognition. I'll be forever bitter that RevRad didn't.

  7. My favorite GD album turns 30 this year think we will get a deluxe set like Dookie Nimrod AI?

  8. Constantly stuck in my head too! I approve of its message and find it hilarious, it's ridiculously simple and to the point and the way it sounds like Here Comes the Shock/Murder City also amuses me. And when he cuts off "and shove it up-" . Funniest Green Day song

  9. Despite this one being my least favorite track, the hook often gets stuck in my head 😂

  10. I Same here lol. Sometimes a production is really bad I'll notice it but in most cases when people are complaining about it I'm like....I thought it sounded okay 🤷🏽

  11. Same for me. Sometimes I really wonder if I‘m stupid not to hear any difference when obviously all the others can…😅

  12. The casino has clearly just hired Green Day to play to high end gamblers here. Probably paid them so much they couldn't say no. Wouldn't be surprised if the crowd is dead though.

  13. Instead deserves a 30th it is so overlooked which is shocking considering it’s their 3rd best selling album next to Dookie and AI. It’s a fan favorite and I’d love to hear raw outtakes of Bab’s Ulva Who, Panic Song as well as Westbound Sign..they must have some unreleased material from this era.

  14. There's a clean version of the album Tre as well, and Missing You's Fbomb has an unique edit.

  15. Haha just found it, that's great Just realized the 21cb vibes fuck time has, so good

  16. GD has been pretty consistent about releasing something around Christmas the last few years (Dookie box, AI box, etc). i doubt we'll get Insomniac 30 after getting Insomniac 25, but i could see a 2-3 disc Warning anniversary release or maybe some sort of b-sides compilation

  18. I thought this one was lost to time and only that atrocious Island version existed now, but NO! I Fought the Law is on Spotify:

  19. After spending a few days with the new tracks, I've gotta say my initial impression still holds up. Ballyhoo is easily the standout. It's the catchiest, feels the most polished, and just hits right. I've been listening to it nonstop. Belushi comes in second for me. It also feels complete and the energy is great. No wonder these two were the singles. The rest I have more mixed feelings about. Underdog is pretty good. Gives off some Trilogy or Longshot vibes, which I love. That one takes third place. I absolutely love the arrangement and overall feel of Stay Young, but that long, repetitive chorus really drags it down. If it had a stronger chorus, it might've tied for first, but as it stands, I'll place it fourth. Then there's Fuck Off. Fun, sure, but kind of forgettable. So yeah, that's at the bottom of my list. As for the acoustic versions... well, they sure are songs that exist.

  20. I’ve been humming this one since deluxe came out. Fun, inconsequential, and with an edge. Lyrics seem to be aimed at some MAGA asshat. What’s not to love?

  21. Stay young is very goood, I like the nostalgic flow. But unfortunately - too repetetive, something's lacking. Though it's the best off deluxes.

  22. Hypothetically speaking, if they include the right outtakes Warning 25 would sell really fucking good

  23. I agree there are so many now that seem faked or exaggerated.

  24. Use this thread to talk about Underdog from the deluxe version of Saviors

  25. Not news but neat, short interview with Hot Milk (terrible name, good band) speaking about Green Day among other stuff. Sorry, link dropped off.

  26. First time i had a problem with the production was the Trilogy, specifically with Billie's vocals Thankfully he sounds better than ever now.

  27. Definitely not something everyone can pick up. I've been listening to Green Day for 20 years and there are things people pick up that I wouldn't in a million years. Even if i notice something or think something is different or not what I'd prefer in mixing, i could never pinpoint it in most cases.

  28. Question: I've seen some people mention Underdog's different mixing and... is this something everyone can pick up on, or is it mostly noticeable to people who work with music? Honestly, they all sound pretty similar to me. But I'll admit I'm also not great at noticing that sort of thing.

  29. IMHO (not including the acoustic tracks). 1) Ballyhoo 2) Smash it Like Belushi 3) Stay Young 4) Fuck Off 5) Underdog

  33. Maybe there are no live tracks on the deluxe edition because they saved them for the upcoming live album/dvd? I so much hope for something like Awesome as F**k for the Saviors era!

  35. I’ve noticed this trend first with the Insomniac 25th where they give us enough bonus material for one side of a record but not two. Thankfully we didn’t have to suffer an etching for Saviors deluxe but a few live tracks would’ve been nice (even if I know that means OEB would likely be among them). There’s that live Bobby Sox that went on their YouTube channel that easily could’ve been put on here. Some demos would’ve been cool too. I’m still making up my mind about the “acoustic” tracks here. Since they’re labeled as acoustic versions it would’ve been nice for them to be unique takes and not stripped down mixes of the existing songs, but thinking of them as unique mixes does help me cope a bit. Overall I think it’s a step in the right direction but I’d still like to see a bit more refinement and bang for buck when it comes to these deluxe releases.

  36. I wish, but we had the Insomniac 25th (which, after the Nimrod, Dookie and AI deluxes, seems very dull reissue), so don't really think it would be release anything new. I don't like the thing this album seems too overlooked by the band, when it's my favorite. I mean, they only play Brain Stew (which, funny thing, I always skip it when listening to it) nowadays. Sometimes a surprise song here and there (for example, Warning Contradiction in the acoustic pub gig two years ago). Even when the Insomniac tour almost reached Spain, they cancelled the rest of the european tour including Spain, which it is a shame.

  37. I’ll take Warning as well

  38. I'm expecting warning 25th more than insomniac 30th boxset. Would be an unexpected plot twist if they released insomniac 30

  43. The Whatsername vibes are strong but man the hook is so weak. The song isn't bad but I think it needed more time to cook. Feels very unfinished.

  49. Hello everyone, I'm writting here months after the show happened because I wanted to talk about my experience going there. It was the very first show I've ever been to, and I started with my favourite band, so let's say that I was quite happy haha ! During that time I had lots of problems in my life, it was a pretty rough time, and I was hyped by the concert. When I got there I just couldn't believe it lol, it was incredible. I remember that during The Interrupters' set, not only was it super cool and I discovered an awesome band, but I also kept crying in between song realising I was about to see my favourite band in just a few hours. And when their set started, it just felt like I was in a different world. During those 2+ hours I literally had the time of my life and all my problems where gone, it was something I've never felt before to be honest. It might sound stupid to some people, but this show really meant something to me and it's not something I'm ready to forget. I really hope they'll come back in France soon so I can see them again !
