This is so catchy and fun I love it š„° Iām sitting here spiraling over the news and Green Day comes to save me like they do. I really needed this. I love my band. Listening on repeat ā¤ļø FYI, Vallejo is an East Bay suburb. Itās where Rodās Hickory Pit used to be where Billieās mom worked as a waitress and Sweet Childrenās first performance was10 points

The official email with the announcement of the deluxe edition also says: Canāt wait to see your faces in the desert this weekend for Coachella!! Weāve got a few more tricks up our sleeves the next few weeks (as always), stay tuned. š§š„°7 points

Why did they not include Fever in the deluxe edition? It would have been nice to finally have it on streaming services.7 points

I like it, itās fun! Very much B-side material but I love B-sides so thatās alright by me. Glad they decided to treat us.6 points

Just a fun little song. Green Day has earned so much good will from me with Saviors that Iām just grateful and not going to expect something amazing from this.5 points

John Belushi was a comedian. He was part of the first SNL cast and famously starred opposite Dan Ackroyd in The Blues Brothers, which I cannot recommend highly enough. He sadly passed away due to a drug overdose.5 points

love this song! nothing "special" but it has a nice flow we can be very thankful that they continue doing what they love and live for, since almost 40 years! today was a pretty standard day for me, but finishing work and seeing the announcement of the saviors deluxe edition AND getting a new song made my day! the feeling of hearing a new great song from them never gets old4 points

I was afraid a lot of people were going to criticise the song super harshly even though it's an extra deluxe track that's probably not indicative of their future releases. People act like tracks like Here Comes The Shock are the worst things to happen to humanity when they're just simple one off tracks to satisfy some fans between releases. And I see these type of tracks as the same thing. But people act like it's some indication of what their next album will sound like. People would even use Xmas Time of the Year to suggest that RevRad was gonna be the same as the trilogy or something. I have seen people say this sounds like FOAM just cus it has a little bit of hand claps. I feel like everyone forgot why FOAM was bad. This track is better than basically everything on that album and Fever sounds much more like FOAM and isn't even on this Deluxe album. Regardless, I like the song. Obviously not gonna make my favourite songs list but it's a nice, fun track. Guitar solo is nice.4 points

Not nearly as good as the rest of Saviors, but still very cool. Just what I needed while I sit here trying to plow through my dissertation proposal while blowing mucus out my nose.4 points

I'm glad the acoustic versions of two nice songs on Saviors which could be released as singles in the first place are included. 5 new songs? It sounds like a mini album and a lovely and fun start to summer!3 points

Mark's book is awesome so far, but this rivalry business got me thinking. Why has nobody ever mentioned Blink-182 as the possible identities of The Network? Hmmm.3 points

One of the new deluxe songs will probably be the Saviors outtake that has a 1972 teaser video with the dog in it2 points

Haha same thing happened to me, I was just walking out of a doctorās appointment and checked my phone and there it was. Had to endure the trip home before I could read everything properly and hear the song. Not complaining though, sure lifted my spirits!2 points

Usually on this deluxe versions contain live version of songs. Wondering if those "tricks up" could mean a saviors live album. I hope āŗļø2 points

Wish I could reasonably pre order this right now, but I'm happy with the fact I got the signed CD anyway. Pleasant surprise and this is giving me the Saviors hype feelings from late 2023 early 2024 again haha. Of course this is not a CRAZY song but new Green Day always consumes me I can't lie2 points

At last. According to greenday.fm, Saviors album and streaming sales figures for April have now surpassed FOAM. https://greenday.fm/charts/album-sales/ It's taken some time I know, but it's no reflection on the album's quality of course. As the fans album ranking still has Saviors at 3rd place behind AI & Dookie. https://greenday.fm/charts/green-day-album-rankings/ It's just a sad reflection on musical tastes as punk has maybe lost it's hold on main stream, idk. Still, their loss. Can't think of many bands that have released such an awesome album, after 30+ years. We're the lucky ones. And the band continues to draw huge crowds at venues during Saviors tour. Still, imho, the bestest live band in the universe ever. From their humble beginnings of playing back street small clubs, to 50k plus stadia, it's always been for the fans. So proud to be a GD fan, so proud of you GD.2 points

I went to a gig at 924 Gilman yesterday, checked out a bunch of green day stuff while I was there, anyway the band playing was a japanese band called Ging Nang Boyz, the band are fans of green day, in fact the members of ging nang boyz used to be in another band Going Steady who have played with green day, during the set the band's singer Mineta was talking about hearing green day while he was in high school and saying how special it was to play gilman because of the green day connection1 point
