That means that 8 years ago today was my very first Green Day show! Few pics I took there-

Sorry about your cat. ❤️ A lot of bands do include cool stuff. If Green Day sold early entry tickets - to a somewhat reasonable price I would have gotten that too. No question. Green Day has talked so many times about how they want as many people as possible to be able to go to their shows. This must be weird for them.

And my first was 15 years ago today! Those are great pics It was so awesome because a big group of fans from GDC and FB from the UK, US, Europe and even Australia were travelling to all the UK shows in a minibus and calling it "Rocktober" and we met up with them, met over 30 people from here that day and still see some at shows now! After just following the band online mostly through here it was surreal to actually see them live and hang out with so many cool people from here. I'll never forget lovely J'net who was with us during the show getting handed a pick by Mike and just giving it to me(!), singing along with *the* Tony from BIAB, staying at the awesome Sharon and Graham's house afterwards where they had an open door policy for GD fans , and everyone we met. And getting to do this with my sister who loves the band as much as me, every show I've been to since has been with her. And the show, that tour was probably their live peak and got to see all the songs and traditions I'd waited for plus loads of 21st CB songs, just amazing to see hot blond Billie and the rest of the band right there . Then unexpectedly got to see FBHT just over a week later...one reason I still obsess over that is it came right after my GD dreams already came true. Unbelievable magical time.

Nimrod and Warning are quite highly rated by serious Green Day fans. They don't get as much love outside the fanbase though. The trilogy is their most underrated work in my opinion. That's also more popular on GDC these days, but people everywhere else still hate it, and it gets less love from Mike and Tre than any of their other work. Are there some duds? Yeah (such as Carpe Diem and Little Boy Named No Thanks), but some of Billie's best love songs are on there. Fell For You and Angel Blue perfectly capture the feeling of knowing you're falling for someone you shouldn't. Oh Love conveys the frustration of that person holding back. Fuck Time and Stop When the Red Lights Flash are like two fanfics: one is trashy but fun and the other is actually tasteful and of the same quality as any professionally published work. Wild One is a glorious celebration of giving in to a love that might kill you, but it's worth it. Stray Heart is a bop. Brutal Love is an absolute masterpiece. Missing You is a fun and cute song that does what it's supposed to do. 8th Avenue Serenade is my favourite Green Day song. I'm biased because my first love also serenaded me on 8th Avenue, but it's such a beautiful, intimate portrayal of what a simple place can come to mean to people who are in love, and it perfectly conveys being scared to hope that something might come of it even though you already know you're hoping it will. And then there are the non-love songs like Rusty James and Lazy Bones that are also very high quality. Thank you for coming to my Regular Trilogy 4 Lyf Session. Next episode probably coming the next time I've had as little sleep as I have recently. RevRad is also seriously underrated. 21st Century Breakdown does get some love from fans now, but not enough considering what a masterpiece it is. 8th Avenue Serenade is my favourite Green Day song, but 21st Century Breakdown is my favourite album. If only it could get an anniversary tour... I know it won't and why, but if only.

when you have no life and no mother and the only thing that goes through your mind is how much you love green day to the point they are my reason for living and when you cannot help but smile and do the autistic flappy hands thinking about them because you feel a weird connection with their music or watching funny moments on youtube and you laugh until your stomach hurts and you tear up and hyperventilate or when ever you see the numbers 80 or 86 you cannot help but jam out mentally, or whenever you hear the radio say "green" and you have a mini heart attack or when you start crying to songs like fancy sauce because it describes you as a whole and blush at the song bobby sox because either A you target it to a crush or B you imagine its directed to you- when you occasionally tear up to "last night on earth" and when you learn green day lore (I'm talking about the story of American idiot and 21st century breakdown) and you feel like a damn genius and cannot help but to yap about it to yourself or your friends because your therapist left yesterday and we wont see him again and he was your best friend and you'd yap about your hyperfixations, or when you go to "guitar lessons" (its really just us jamming out) and the dude says I'm doing great as we learn basket case and when I perfected brain stew ALL BY MYSELF and I know its not a hard song but you cannott help but feel proud or whenever someone sings blvd of broken dreams making a meme out of it or brain stew like thanks guys I hate those now, or when you see wake me up when sept ends memes and you get pissed off because that song is about billie losing his dad when he was a kid in September and you relate to it TOO much due to the fact you were torn away from your mother and never see her again IN SEPTEMBER OF 2022 , or whenever you see bing and its little news stories about green day drama you cannot thelp but giggle because its so stupid because everyone is woke and you don't care, or when listening to mass hysteria/modern world you do not give a rats arcsh if billie drops the N word because he doesn't care and didn't use it in an offensive manner giving everyone a big middle finger. OR when you're just messing around on your ukulele and it sounds like green day and you get excited and end up being able to play a song without watching a tutorial on youtube or getting lessons from anybody, you also know when you dump 12 dollars on an American idiot CD because your dad broke yours and you weren't going to spend forever burning it on a cd like you did with 21st-century breakdown, that feeling while looking at your username and thinking "damn my username is lit asf" because you think numbers used as letters is soooo trendy and different. but anyway I don't think I like green day THAT much or anything......*gulp* (I'm genuinely autistic so this explains a lot) (edit) and you buy a guitar that looks like "blue" because a certain someone and when you have green eyes that look like SOMEBODYS OR when you started doing shi right around billie and mikes age when they started (cough cough pot) when you are a lil ol teenager (I don't anymore) or when your friend loves jimbojimmy123 and you don't know who the hell that is but you make an OC named billie jern armstrong because there's a character named jern so you merge 2004 billie with jern from jimbojimmy123 together.

Yeah, they are awful. My worst experience with them was with the No Fun Mondays vinyl, which got shipped two MONTHS after the release date 😒

Yeah unfortunately this is why I try to avoid ordering from Warner. I always have an issue. My stuff never arrives in time and they never provide updates. I usually have to send a bunch of angry emails before they send me a tracking number only to show that my order won't be delivered for another 2 weeks.

I got a reply saying that pre orders are dispatched around the order date? Now I know that it will definitely be the last time I pre order again direct! What’s the point in pre ordering! I think it won’t arrive till next week which is apparently shocking. I went on twitter and Reddit and noticed people have had the same experience as well.

Semi related, but have just noticed that some of the American Idiot music videos have been upgraded to 4K, those being American Idiot, WMUWSE, and Jesus of Suburbia but only the long version, not the short one. Maybe it's progressively being added to all, or just those. The American Idiot one looks so bright now, it's one of the most interesting ones imo Oh and also, the American Idiot video is uncensored too which is a nice touch

If I remember correctly, Aaron wrote in his magazine that Green Day was scheduled to play in Beijing in 2010. However, the concert never took place.

Just got two GA Tickets for Luxemburg in addition to the ones for Vienna. One show is just not enough… (Besides my cat is dying and I need consolation.🥲)

I managed to get tickets to Amsterdam's golden circle! 😊 I really hope they announce some headliner shows to Nordic countries. There's few days between Oslo and Luxembourg shows. It would be logical to visit in Sweden, Finland and/or Denmark. Next summer it has been 12 years since they were in Finland... Why they do like this? I mean why they don't announce the whole tour all at once?

I also have nothing against sitting in line all day and taking time of from work. I usually travel for shows anyways so I need more than one day of. If there weren't VIP tickets I would have been queing for both Amsterdam and Vienna. Some of the other bands I listen to sell VIP tickets for around 85 euros. It includes early entry, you can chose a couple of merch items and you get a signet laminate or something. One of the bands also include m&g and an acoustic preformance. I have gotten those VIP tickets several times and for me it's more worth the price. Green Day's tickets are extremely overpriced in my opinion. But if I had an unlimited amount of money, I would have gotten them for all the shows for sure. As long as they're offering it people will buy it. Hope you have fun queuing and fingers crossed for front row. 😊

Bah, secured two Golden Circle for Amsterdam and after I had put in all my information and clicked "pay", it gave me an error and told me to check "my tickets" and they might appear there in the following hour. I don't expect it to though, as my bank never asked for confirmation of the payment. And now there are no more golden circle tickets. 🥺

Managed to get a 3rd one now! Yeah I think the website was just busy because it kept showing me an error message previously very relieved i got all the tickets I wanted 😁 it’s always so stressful

I can't explain it. Ever since that picture appeared on a Rolling Stone cover I've always hated it. It just seemed so dumb to me. What did the theme have to do with 21CB? The guys even look unenthused about it! What's worse is I purchased that Rolling Stone magazine, not once, but twice. The first copy I had a ripped out all the GD pictures to plaster on my wall. I don't really do that with magazines anymore....so I had to buy another copy for my collection -_- Clearly, this hatred will be my legacy on GDC.
