Yeah I loved the jacket, but he took it off quite quickly because I guess it got too warm. He wore a St. Pauli shirt underneath. This is my fav shot I took at this show. Billie with a halođ I love this man. And he sang like an angel. I swear, at this show his voice sounded better than the last three tours, maybe even the best I've ever heard himđ6 points

After returning from three shows of the Saviors Tour so far, I'm still full of adrenaline and on a Green Day high That was a dosis of happiness and love I needed very, very much this time. They truly are my saviors over and over again, for the last 20 years. Thank you Green Dayđ Please do this for many, many more years to come. It is completely beyond me how someone can not be in love with this band.6 points

On this day 6 years ago (13 June 2018), The Longshot played in Vancouver, Canada. This is still my favourite concert photo I've ever taken. I also used it on the Longshot tour shirt I designed. More photos from this show: 14 years ago (2010), Green Day played Holiday and Know Your Enemy with the American Idiot cast at the Tony Awards in NYC. More photos: 23 years ago (2001), Green Day played Waiting on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno.5 points

Randon flags from audience always can be a problem. I remember when Ozzy Osbourne played a show in Porto Alegre/Brazil, and someone handed him a flag from a local football team (GrĂȘmio), but the show was at the team's rival arena... hahahaha That was fun hahahahha4 points

Billie's looking sooooo cute! But gotta say not a fan of the flares. I miss the tighter fitting pants.4 points

Hamburg pics from Billie's Instagram story (Last time Billie posted this many pics it broke the drive on my phone )4 points

I personally like the flares, especially the gray ones in that last pic @GreenDayJunkie86 shared. Iâve kinda been digging wide-leg pants myself lately, so maybe Iâm just projecting, but I feel like the balance his frame so nicely! And you know, look hot.3 points

The pants and the shirt look like a set to me. Maybe he will wear them together some time. This shirt would also look great with the pants Billie loves his stripes lol.3 points

Since I had a coupon and everything on Oakland coffee is on sale I finally picked up the yellow version of Live From Hella Mega:3 points

Got myself a strange Italian Jukebox (?) single with an Oasis track from 2002 and 21 Guns as the b-side. Don't know how official that is, but I had to have it. And like for my other coverless vinyl singles I created a custom artwork sleeve too https://www.ebay.com/itm/1764106952503 points

A sad thing about that story time thing is one of the times he told the story about drinking with his friend and jumping in a car to fight someone that friend was at the show, and went home and committed suicide later that night. Billie wrote X Kid about him. Not sure if that could be a reason for not bringing it back or if it's just because they never play Before the Lobotomy.3 points
-
If I can remember he kind of brought it back early on during the Revrad tour before Christie Road, or at least at some shows he did but it was usually about Blue. At the show I went to in Tulsa Oklahoma, he talked about his mom being from there for a few mins before the song3 points

Just to add, it was only 2hr 15 min which is so surprising given the length of the setlist! From experience the French crowd was very different to the Irish! Quieter at the end/ between songs (less cheering and singing) and much more cup throwing resulting in me with a big bruise on my head đ Also in my experience there was way less interaction with the crowd/ hey-oh's which I presumed was to get through the setlist. Also did no one else notice Billie was slightly high pitched at times? I think he was losing his voice, especially evident during Good Riddance. Overall an amazing gig, great sound and definitely the best screens and stage I have seen!! đ2 points

The sleeves gave him bad luck, damn Mike really messed up the bassline on Bobby Sox for like the entire song. đ2 points

Agree wholeheartedly. Or at the very least, change up the socks every once in awhile.2 points

Just got back from the show in Hamburg, luckily got 1st row again and I can tell you, there is A LOT hip/belly action happening đ You can all look forward to your shows!2 points

"That's the first hip of the tour": Something you would read only in the fangirl thread Love it Side note I think these pants are new? He's already had a few different pants this tour! I like the variety2 points

I think people did reply, no? For me it makes sense that All By Myself doesn't make it to festivals? Probably it's mostly fans who'd appreciate that song, and they might expect a mix of fans with more relaxed festival-goers, so perhaps that's why they've dropped it? I'm starting to think those two festivals before Lyon were for like a trial run for the two album thing, how long that'd take, etc. As for Hitchin a Ride, 21 guns and other classic making it to the set list... for the same reason as above, it makes sense for me to add them to festival where you might have more people who are not there only for Green Day and might only know the hits. For the stadium shows, it makes very little sense to me to add these type of songs... a lot of people going to these shows have already seen Green Day before, and therefore have seen Hitchin a Ride, 21 Guns, etc., quite a few times, and I think we could use that time to hear songs we haven't heard live before, be that from Saviors or even the rarely played from previous albums... I'd personally prefer to hear Brat, Panic Song, Peacemaker, Blood Sex and Booze, etc, rather than Hitchin' a Ride for the 5th time. (And just in case PeterStrange does have strange super powers, for the love of god add Fancy Sauce to the non-festival shows, thanks Pete! đ)2 points

I think for once and just this once, even as the forum's resident "Green Day peaked in 2004/2005" grouch, I have to agree more with the conciliatory voices and less with the nostalgics. The setlist is very predictable this time around, yes, but I mean when they actually play Dookie and ai in full, that's something special, even for super fans, and then they add Brain Stew, Hitchin' a ride, Minority and some songs off Saviors on top of that too. Plus, they're doing all of this at pretty big venues, not clubs. So, for once, there's not much to complain about I would say. Not to mention the last time their setlist wasn't this formulaic and predictable was back in 2013. What definitely should make a comeback though are Billie's 21CB era story-time sessions. Yeah yeah, I know drugs and alcohol likely fuelled most of those and unlike his passionate rants throughout the RevRad era, they really had nothing, and I mean nothing whatsoever, to do with the song that followed (mostly Before The Lobotomy, of all songs lol), but still, that kind of unique band to fans interaction is what can make a concert really memorable, even if the rest of the setlist is predictable. It's something that every band could do to be honest: strike one song from the setlist and instead mark the spot "story time, unique or specific to this location in some way". I think it can mean a lot to fans, that sorta thing. However, all that aside, I can't wait to see my favourite band again after 7 long years. Twice, in fact and just a few days away1 point

Got home this morning and uploaded my videos of Pulling Teeth and Extraordinary Girl. They're shakier than I thought, so don't get excited. And my photos, which are equally shit but I'll post them anyway. Some other thoughts: The confetti at this show was plain pink and green. No fancy art. I brought a whole bag of it home and I'm questioning my choices now. There was a fabulous patch specific to this show at the merch table. I thought it'd still be open after the show so I didn't buy one during the day and wish I had because everything was shut. If anyone has an extra patch they don't want, I'd love to buy it from you. I got one of Mike's picks, which was nice. Billie's looked good too. "Green Day is on our Eras Tour" was hilarious. There was a lot of interaction between Mike and the crowd. I'm sure he brightened at least 50 people's days by smiling, sticking his tongue out and pointing at them. The security guard in front of me was a secret fanboy and couldn't help touching his heart and putting his hands on his cheeks in disbelief during Are We the Waiting. Strangely, most of my favourite moments (although it's hard to choose) were songs I'd seen before. I expected to melt down over Homecoming (which was obviously incredible) but there I was losing my shit to She and Letterbomb. I guess that's what happens when you haven't seen Green Day for years. I'm so glad I went Wow! It really didn't feel like such a long show. They got through the two albums so fast. And you! I don't think I can afford to go to Paris after all, but I'm sure I'll see you again one day1 point
