Perfectly said. Itβs crazy to me that I found this band by chance as a kid and somehow ended up with the most amazing one. Billieβs positive influence on my life canβt be overstated. Heβs the best.2 points

The new coffee company starts up in the Spring so they might do something to tie in with the album and tour like Oakland Coffee did before2 points

Iβm screaming holy shit π Also I donβt know why it feels weird to me in any interview or video when he says βGreen Dayββ¦ I canβt describe it but itβs like heβs breaking the 4th wall or something. That makes zero sense but please someone tell me they get it π2 points

I remembered the reason: he was having some fun with some of his friends2 points

Corey Taylor once played the entire Dookie album on an acoustic set. He's a great guy!2 points
-
Mike and Tre probably wanted to actually take a break after an album/world tour while Billie's songwriting output is relentless haha. Feels like the most likely reason.2 points

They've been playing shows throughout the last 20 years haha, you can see for yourself if you watch some more recent videos. They still have a ton of energy on stage and involve the crowd just as much etc. I saw them a year and a half ago and they were fantastic, they will be on this tour too! They're going to be playing Dookie and American Idiot in full for the 20/30 year anniversaries this year so that will be really special.1 point
-
So silly as well when they've all done side projects before and when he even took special care to not draw attention to the fact it was a solo record by calling it The Longshot instead of just Billie Joe Armstrong.1 point

I failed to mentioned I was specifically talking about Billie.1 point

A coffee themed video would be hilarious. And since it's their own stuff, it's still not selling out, lol. I'm thinking they could recreated the slime from the American Idiot flag thing, but with coffee. and invite all us fans to lap it up off the floor with the band. I could type a bunch more random stuff here, but I'm going to submit the better parts straight to Warner.....even though I'm still waiting on my pre-release of Saviors. I know it's coming.1 point

https://youtu.be/M3rCuhG7rfk?si=pjPhapoJVLfMT4KO Damn the Pop Disaster shows have got to be some of my favorite of all-time. They were absolutely on fire, ripping through songs and Billie Joe had morphed into the showman he became for the American Idiot Era. And look at Jason White getting down! You could tell they were giving it their all, especially since they were the first co-headliner. (Also, not sure how to put the video in my post so I just left it as a link. Any help would be appreciated π)1 point

Is Green Day breaking up though? Dang, Billie was mad.1 point
-
Agreed. I think their much younger families must factor into things.1 point

Corey also covered She and Good Riddance. Awesome musician to be honest, since nu-metal is definitely my favorite subgenre of metal.1 point
-
Here's something I didn't know...Corey Taylor covered Pulling Teeth! Kind of funny considering how much Billie hates Slipknot1 point

IMO, if this was a typical album cycle, where the boys go full swing on touring and promotion, TADIKM and Dilemma could've hit the Hot 100. Rockin' Eve was the most amount of attention they got in a little while, and capitalizing on that could've done wonders for them. I get it though, they have nothing to prove.1 point
