I like how GDC gets dissapointed when making speculations they trick themselves into believing.

Maybe they ended an album cycle and world tour (with plenty of side projects in between) only a few months ago, never really stopped doing lives, and they are taking things at their own pace since they are 50+ and don’t wanna start another tour + promotion carnival yet.

In fairness to those who thought something would be announced around Easter, that TikTok very much hinted that being the case. Sure, you could argue it was “random emojis”, but I think there was a clear intention (along with the caption) for us to expect something this week. If nothing comes of it, it’s just trolling on behalf of their social media team, and honestly I find it a bit distasteful given how long they’ve been teasing this project and how patient we’ve all been.

Just got my silver vinyl!!! This is the kind of boxset I alwatys wanted!! Just a big curiosity that i don't think anyone pointed out so far. In the 12" booklet, we got for the first time some part of the lyrics from 'Platypus' printed. It's the last verse of the song and I noticed that there is a line we've been singing wrong this whole time: Everywhere you look, the lyrics have a phrase that says: "When you go down head first into the ground', but on the booklet for Nimrod XXV the line is written correctly "When you go down in flames into the ground". So, we've (at least me) been singing along it worng haha

Not necessarily "fake". Could be that Hasitleaked was just wrong rather than lying. Or they were done and then the bands decided to go back and add/remove/replace stuff. I'm pretty sure HasItLeaked is at least somewhat credible but that doesn't mean everything they say is true

If it wasn't for the Easter tiktok and our crazy minds trying to decipher something that was in the end nothing but just a tiktok, we wouldn't be disappointed. Well I am not because I wasn't expecting anything this weekend.

They just played the Innings Festival a little over a month ago. From the clips I’ve seen, his voice sounded fine!!! I’m calling BS on the rumor

Maybe we're getting a single or two this summer, album in fall or winter and a proper tour next year. If they were touring this year they would've announced it by now.

If this rumor about Billie’s voice issues is verified, it could have caused an unexpected delay. He’s stopped drinking and slimmed down since last tour. Maybe he thought he’d be ready physically and he’s not.

Here are a few at GDC that have some better sources than most of us. They told us nothing‘s gonna happen🤷‍♂️ Plus he had an injury last month

As a high level and world famous drummer, it’s not unusual for Tre to practice ! it can mean the boys are getting ready or it can means Tre is practicing to maintain his level

Of course there’s no announcement today Stop speculate on cryptic emojis on TikTok we better wait a real clue or announcement rather than being disappointed for absolutely nothing I want this album so bad like y’all but it’s pretty clear that nothing is coming soon

I have some connections with Warner of my country, there's nothing scheduled as well, but this doesn't mean that 'main Warner' (from US) knows nothing.

HasItLeaked It's not so reliable. They said that GD and Blink new albums were finished. Some weeks after, both bands posted photos still working in studio. So..

Which is why I think something unexpected might have interfered with those plans (or something is still coming this week)

Looking at these festival dates, I noticed these 2 festivals are only 2 days apart!!! And any time they tour, their shows are always spread out 2-3 days apart given the proximity of each city!!! And in the past year, all the festivals they played were always weeks to months apart!!! Guys, I think we're in for a tour real soon!!!

With no news yet and the holiday period nearly over, maybe it's time for a reset. What do we really know, where are we now, what has been confirmed as true. And should that be the basis of any speculation? Jan 10/23 – New info from a close band source: despite the 1972 name teases, album 14 does not have a title yet and they are still “in the middle” of working on the new record. FACT Feb 28/23 – Chris Lorde-Alge who mixed Nimrod, American Idiot, 21st Century Breakdown and Uno/Dos/Tre, has posted a picture from the studio featuring Green Day in the past couple of days. Chris is posing with Mike and Tre while Album 14 producer Rob Cavallo sits on the chair in the background. FACT With no further official written update then nothing has changed. (Unless I've missed something) So, what of the future. These are the confirmed tour dates for the rest of the year so far: JUL 14, 2023. Harley Davidson Homecoming Milwaukee, WI JUL 16, 2023. Festival d'été de Québec Quebec City, Canada SEP 24, 2023. Louder Than Life Louisville, KY OCT 21, 2023. When We Were Young Las Vegas, NV OCT 22, 2023. When We Were Young Las Vegas, NV So, between now and Jul 14, or Sep 24, or Oct 21, what needs to be confirmed since Feb 28, (again unless I've missed something), that studio recording is finished? When that's confirmed, is it fair to say, only after that date can we move on to any sort of release info and album tour dates?

Honestly. If they were touring in July, wouldn’t they need to sell tickets in advance? That’s about 80 days from now.

They can’t announce a tour in July for shows in July. They need time to sell tickets and promote. Most summer tours are being announced now or already have been. Wtf this claim sounds oddly specific I’m gonna need to see the receipts

I don't know about that but I can see they have nothing on July 15th so I hope they're gonna spend some time in Québec City the day before the show walking in the city because I'm gonna stalk them like a creep and get a picture with this beautiful man named Billie Joe.

Someone might seem “fine” for a one-off but it’s doesn’t mean they actually are “fine” overall. That one show could even draw out the recovery time of there is something wrong. Hopefully nothing is wrong and I’m jumping to conclusions again as is necessary as a GDC member.

I guess the announcement will be made only next year. They have many shows to do with that Hella mega setlist, specially that one 'when we're young'.

I finally figured it out! Once we get this thread to 1,972 pages Green Day will release the album! So please keep trying to decipher every little thing they post and continue posting these nonsensical track lists and the album will be here in no time!

Yeah that is very creepy I hope no fans do that to him or Mike, Tre. i can see why he probably said that for those Longshot shows(i didn't have the chance to go to any shows in 2018/2019) but i did see some clips of Longshot shows posted on YT. They seemed fun and way different than going to a GD show so I can see why Billie did say that bc he probably wanted to give all fans a chance of being that up close at a Longshot show as its a different experience than a GD one. right? Makes no sense why he'd pick a kid but "hate them" and in all the clips i see on YT/ TikTok of fans on stage with him he looks hella happy so even I have no idea why that person had the nerve to say that to me. thank you! I always look forward to meeting other fans at shows, and getting there early to wait in line with them. I'm not gonna let that fans "thoughts" get in the way of this💚 You're welcome and thank you! The Network proved to me that FOAM could have been improved with more tracks. At first I thought it was just that several of the songs were underwritten or subpar, but I think they also left several better tracks off the album. The first half of the album is pretty weak, all of the stronger tracks are in the second half and just when you start enjoying it, it ends. If they had added Art of the Deal…, Degenerate and Cancer is the New Black? You’d have a very good album.
