I want to be optimistic too, but please keep your expectations realistic. I honestly think Green Day want to be in a different place now to what they were back then, and I think them playing their older songs (Fuck I feel old saying that) may just be a way of teasing us with new footage, but covering up the audio with something else. You say nobody listens to it anymore, but I fucking love that album. I even have it in my 50's and 60's music playlist that I've been using while I play Fallout 😂 I'd love this. Even RevRad had some of that and that is one of the huge reasons why it's my 3rd favourite album behind AI and 21cb.

I watched this video this morning and I just wanted to post it because it made me so happy. Seeing a Green Day fan capable of playing guitar, just have the best night of his life. Playing on stage in front of thousands of people, jamming with Green Day, and seeing Billie Joe impressed that he actually nailed the solo. The whole thing just made me warm and fuzzy and makes me appreciate how much this band means to so many people.

Billie looks great on the third one. Natural but hair looks fab!

I actually always loved hearing the harmonies during slappy/ kerplunk, mike actually has a really decent voice and tre? all by myself and dominated love slave has always been fun live, so definitely!

Really amazing to see this guitar! If you look at the sticker on the upper horn of the guitar, just underneath the black tape, it's a very faded 'One Man Army' sticker. I made that sticker at home with a Sharpie and handed it to Billie from the front row of the London Astoria gig, Feb 1st 1998, along with an orange 'Hi-Fives' sticker. I remember him dropping it on the stage after he took it from me. I had no Idea that he stuck it on one of his guitars! I guess he must have picked it up after the gig. If you watch the video of the gig, he takes the stickers from me during the extended outro to 'When I Come Around' (timestamp 1hr 11mins 17secs into the vid)👍

Have to say the last couple of shows I really couldn't be bothered to go through all the Instagram posts to find show photos. I only looked at the people I follow and I didn't know when GDC would be back to post any of it (this site sort of dies a little bit more each time it goes down) Anyway here's a nice photo of Billie Have already posted this one in the Billie picture thread.

Wow, this is a great story! Thanks so much for sharing! I went back to watch the video this morning at the timestamp, I see the interaction with you and Billie during the When I Come Around frenzy, haha. Its cool to see he stuck it on his main Blue guitar tuned to E for the nimrod songs, so your sticker was seen by lot of people! I've attached a few images from that time with a clear shot of your DIY One Man Army sticker. Did you add the extra details around the lettering? Another conversation, but this is one of many examples why Green Day will always be punk 🤘

Not sure if this has been done before or the right place to pose this question but.... Green Day have released 13 studio albums. If you have to pick one song from each to make a 13 track super-Green Day record, what would you pick. Also, think about what would be your opener and closer so the album flows.
