I watched this video this morning and I just wanted to post it because it made me so happy. Seeing a Green Day fan capable of playing guitar, just have the best night of his life. Playing on stage in front of thousands of people, jamming with Green Day, and seeing Billie Joe impressed that he actually nailed the solo. The whole thing just made me warm and fuzzy and makes me appreciate how much this band means to so many people.

Probably the same photographer. I don't know what it is, but for some reason this one gives me huge AI vibes. Billies face looks exactly like AI era (apart from a little extra pandemic weight) and it's like he hasn't aged a day since then. That's almost 20 years ago! Maybe it's the hair style that contributes to that AI feel? Whatever it is, just wow! He is looking better than ever. Still an absolute stunner!

It's been so awful not to be able to come here and gush over how amazing Billie has looked at these past couple of shows while the site's been down! He just keeps delivering! 😍 It looks like they are all getting time to enjoy themselves and explore, too. I'm sure they're having a lot of fun!

Holiday was playing on the radio during my driving test the other day. Radio X is great. They play quite a lot of Green Day. Still failed the test though

Feels really weird to look at setlists they're doing right now and NOT see She anymore. I think there never has been a tour nor period where they didn't play it (even on secret shows and shit it was played). End of an era to my favorite live song for now

Really amazing to see this guitar! If you look at the sticker on the upper horn of the guitar, just underneath the black tape, it's a very faded 'One Man Army' sticker. I made that sticker at home with a Sharpie and handed it to Billie from the front row of the London Astoria gig, Feb 1st 1998, along with an orange 'Hi-Fives' sticker. I remember him dropping it on the stage after he took it from me. I had no Idea that he stuck it on one of his guitars! I guess he must have picked it up after the gig. If you watch the video of the gig, he takes the stickers from me during the extended outro to 'When I Come Around' (timestamp 1hr 11mins 17secs into the vid)👍

Have to say the last couple of shows I really couldn't be bothered to go through all the Instagram posts to find show photos. I only looked at the people I follow and I didn't know when GDC would be back to post any of it (this site sort of dies a little bit more each time it goes down) Anyway here's a nice photo of Billie Have already posted this one in the Billie picture thread.

My wife is pretty indifferent about Green Day but she said they put on a great show and enjoyed the concert we went to. There are some songs that she seems to like though like Warning, Extrodinary girl. She actually really likes the Longshot!

Recently thinking. What's really the story behind Billie singing with a lisp? Every time he sings I hear: ,,I went shoo a shrink tyou anylise my dreams she says it's lacka-ses-as bringin me jao'' Or: ,,Only wonda-da have ever none (...) But it's onto me, naa wore cologne''. I'm not native, but I speak fluently. Without knowing the lyrics I couldn't understand it. From live footages recorded by fans I hear people sing along with perfect, clear accent. I mean, normal american accent.

The first 5 teasers were already giving me American Idiot vibes and then they put out that Ocean Way teaser with Homecoming playing in the background!! 1972 is gonna be huge!!!!!

Green Day have a huge fanbase. No matter what they do, there are always going to be people who have issues with what they're doing. There are fans who want a return to 90's Green Day, there are fans who want another AI or 21CB, there are fans who want them to make another album like RevRad, there are fans who are perfectly fine with them doing what they're doing now and there are fans who want them to change things up more. It's not hypocrisy that people are complaining about too much change or too little change. These are usually two separate groups making these complaints I think the RevRad complaint about it being too safe and similar to their previous albums is a valid one even if I do like that album. But my issue with FOAMF isn't that they've changed too much, it's that the quality of the songs is just not at the standard I want. The more experimental or different tracks like Oh Yeah are not tracks that I care for but even some of the more Green Day sounding songs, & even some of the better ones just don't compare to what they've done before imo. I don't want to be too negative about the album because ik it's gotten its fair share of unfounded criticism but it's the album I listen to the least now despite it being their most recent, and I don't listen to their pre-Dookie stuff that often. I'm not against another Foxboro-esque album if it's at the quality of Stop Drop & Roll, that's a great album that nobody listens to anymore. I'm hoping this new album is going to be a return to form, no matter what it sounds like but the teasers we've got have me intrigued
