I have said this here before, but well I'm gonna say it again. When you get all hyped and excited, when you see the word "Green" in some poster or really anywhere, but then the other word isn't "Day" and you get dissapointed.

My dream last night wasn't directly about GD, but there was a GD reference. Me and a group of famous people were getting attacked by sharks while we were trying to shoot a movie. All the production crew just fucked off and left us there so we had to try and figure out a way to get out of there ourselves. Somebody discovered that singing Basket Case loudly made the sharks go away 😂

I never thought Billie's falsetto was bad, just different. I agree that he's just gotten better and better with it, though. I really like it when he does that high scream instead of the "Wa ha yeah!" on FOAM and when he goes from falsetto to sexy whisper on Degenerate. This boy has no right to be able to make us swoon so easily just by singing a few words!

I know there is lots of debate about Octopus and their highly developed brains when they have such short lives but didn’t realise slime mounds were so complex! Kerrang Radio said yesterday their listening numbers were way up, they are sry happy to hopefully rock music is on the way up again!

Had a dream this morning that I was in California for one of the small shows (not sure if it was GD, the Longshot, or what; Billie and Kevin were the only two I noticed there). It was kind of a block party atmosphere, but also kind of the NYE vibe too; sometimes people had coats on, other times it was sunny and people were dressed for summer. I had the ability to rewind moments and move to find a better position and rewatch things. There was one point when Kevin was the only one onstage, and apparently my subconscious thinks he's gained weight, because the review I was holding (since technically the show had already happened) described him as hefty (thought how I needed to show that to @The Grohl at that point ). Only other thing I'll say is there were a couple B/K moments in there.

I think Degenerate is a better song than FOAM, but I just don't see a big difference in the falsetto. It sounds good in both imo.

Now we’re assuming he recorded Degenerate later because they released it later but we don’t even know if that’s the case which is interesting. He could just have chosen FOA because he thought it was a better album track for that project. They were likely the same session.

I wonder how people would have judged the falsetto vocal if they had heard Degenerate before FOA. He really hit the sweet spot there where it sounds soulful and funky and not silly

I think there were some great performances around FOA. I get people don’t like falsetto, fine, but don’t write off the whole performance because of it. I think Billie has really perfected his falsetto on MM2020, not that it’s related of course, and I think we may hear more.

I just saw this again too it was one of my favorite performances of that time they killed it. You can tell they know it too the way Billie smiles and they swagger off
