I know this is probably the worst time for Billie to come back to Instagram seeing as he can get very riled up by Trump related things, let alone an full blown attempted coup incited by the orange man himself, but I'm dying to know what he's thinking and feeling right now. I know I'm feeling disgusted, furious, and afraid. This is unprecedented and unlike anything the country has seen since the Wilmington insurrection of 1898. I know Billie is just a guy who's in a band, but I hold his opinions in high value because I respect and admire him very much as a person.

I apologize if this isn't thread-worthy or has been done already, but I thought it could be fun. Are there ever any instances that occur in your daily life where someone says something and you immediately start singing a Green Day song in your head? Or if you see a sign you think of a song? I'll give a few examples of what I mean: -While watching the NFL playoffs today, the commentators have described a play as "Bang, bang" a few times, so I immediately started singing the song in my head. -There's a street I pass called Longview Ave and I always start humming the opening bass line -My brother took a picture from Gate 86 at an airport the other day and told me, "There's no return." -I will sing Give Me Novocaine in my head while the dentist is drilling my teeth -Same goes for Blood, Sex and Booze when things get kinky in the bedroom These are just a few examples of what I'm getting at and I'm curious if anyone else had things like this happen in their own crazy Green Day brains.

It’s a good documentary. Billie is only in the last part, but it’s worth watching the whole thing.

It is you who created the issue because of your comment about sexualising and then following it up with saying it was because you were worried people would attack you, when there was no reason to think that. No one expects that everything in this thread is sexual, it's never been that way, and no one is looking to attack you, so it's just been pointed out that the disclaimer was unnecessary that's all. So yeah can we all just chill now please? Anything that comes under the umbrella of fangirling is fine to post here, no need for disclaimers or for this argument to continue.

I retrack my post. I had just turned the TV on and hadn't read twitter. I was working on projects. The news channel wasn't really "explaining" what was going on (go figure).

When someone says “action turd” and you recognize it as a Green Day reference.

Lately, whenever I see someone picking up their dogs poop I say “action turd” in my head. And I find it mildly funny every single time. Send help.

When your friend said that Green Day were shit, so you refused to speak to him until he bought you GD memorabilia. When you sing any song and your voice just comes out as Billie's accent. When you're at school and you apply every sociological or psychological theory that you learn to GD. When you basically cry yourself to sleep every night because you haven't been able to go to a GD show yet, and you're starting to think that you'll never get the opportunity.

* When you check the guys Insagrams as soon as you get home from work and click onto this forum * When you get excited when you see someone wearing a GD top or hoodie * When you get Bang Bang stuck in your head every time you hear the word Vietnam * Whenever anyone says anything which a GD lyric and you start singing that song

When you think about Green Day whenever anyone mentions a trilogy.

- When you scream and turn the volume up whenever a GD song is on the radio - although you could listen to the song anytime you want. But only a true fan knows that it always sounds better on the radio -When you call in sick at work because you're going to a GD show, but your boss didn't give you a day off -When you compare every single show of another band you see to a GD show and think "Dammit, GD is so much better live" -When you have at least one GD song that perfectly describes every phase of your life / every mood

When you're looking for a cookbook at Barnes and Noble and detour into the music section to see if you can find any GD/Billie albums in the wild. ETA: I just noticed the white label on the NFM one says Billie Armstrong. It's spreading! Also, when you see your neighbor's mail has a Green Bay postmark and double check just to make sure it doesn't say Green Day.
