I mean that was the point, it's supposed to be a monstrosity, that's the joke. It's classic irreverent Green Day, cheekily defacing their own most respected album. Fans getting precious about the American Idiot cover while the band themselves don't give a shit is hilarious, I'm glad they have a sense of humour and refuse to take themselves too seriously. No way is it worse than covers that look just as bad but were genuinely trying to look aesthetically pleasing/classy/deep.

FOAM was shit but at least new album = new photos. The Network gave us some pics and GIFs but they're masked so it's not the same We need new pictures of the guys c'mon!!

I’m on an iPhone. Seems more like a Facebook issue though. Facebook is full of glitches. I’ve also had past IG weirdness where I was getting the same like notification on an old photo from the same person randomly for weeks. Like I don’t think they liked the photo that many times. Bored of Fink already. I was checking his first post to see if he’s keeping track of when he removed them to make sure they don’t get deleted forever and I don’t remember seeing this caption, he must have seen us freaking out and added something to troll us: “#MongoFinkForever you see, @billiejoearmstrong his past has been DELETED forever.” The little shit 😢

They are too busy rocking out to The Best Album of 2020 to be bothered posting on some forum. Hot Take: Father of All > No Fun Mondays >We Told Ya So.

I don't know if its already been said on here but I found out recently that Stab You in The Heart featured first on the musical "These Paper Bullets" that Billie wrote music for years ago. It's cool how he just plucked that song out of that production and put it on a Green Day record. He wrote it after all! Quite a few Longshot songs were originally on that musical too. It's definitely interesting to see how worlds within Green Day's world collide with one another. ☺️

I guess for me it's been a while since I heard anyone from the 90s era hate Green Day for the reasons they did. 😂 I was surprised. Green Day is praised in ALL my circles these days. I almost forgot how grunge rockers & metal fans hated them in the 90s & 2000s. For petty reasons ofc 😋

I found this interesting video of a DAD reacting to Green Day on Jimmy Kimmel Live (2019). I found it interesting to see someone who HATED Green Day - and HATED Dookie in the 90's - dig Father of All. To me the song has some pretty generic rock riffs, but to others it's probably more like their cup of tea. It isn't pop punk & that's probably the appeal to some observers.

I think IG notifications are always terrible, they always take hours to come through. It’s a pretty rubbish app really, difficult to share posts etc etc.

haha I think we have this trait in common. I don't like when things in my world don't make sense 😄 This is going to make me crazy. When the notification came up I looked at my phone and said "I don't believe you". But I looked anyway and yeah, nothing. IG is crying wolf.

That fear of not seeing them gives me nightmares, I know how you feel. But I think that you can relax, you're on the same country and that increases your chances a lot, and Chicago is also a big city, they won't leave it behind. We have to stay positive! In my opinion, the RevRad tour was the best for everybody. Even for the band. ❤

I do, yes. But I don't trust notifications so much 'cause there were times I didn't get them at all, and there were new posts I haven't seen. And I won't talk about the times I did receive a notification and certain man decided to delete the post before I could see it but that's another story

I’m so grateful to my past self for making the decision to see two shows last tour. Makes the current situation less painful. I didn’t have much luck with shows in my career as a fan - missed out on seeing them on the 21CB tour, then the Trilogy tour didn’t come here and now everything got cancelled. RevRad was a nice exception.

No doubt the US mail is screwed. Ordered a custom phone case with Fink on it that shipped the 5th from the state I literally share a border with and it sat in a distribution center for five days and isn’t supposed to get here until the 14th. 9 days to hop one state!!

You know when the band releases a new record and the reporter ask them "what's next?" It's a question that always bother me, BUT now that The Network is back with their new record, I hope that the Foxboro Hot Tubs do the same some day I remember being too new in the forum when their ep came out so I wasn't so aware of them, I only read the news from GDA. It would be great, they should do the Foxies again.

So I'm drifting off to an old interview with Billie and Lee Kirk talking about Ordinary World. The interviewer announces Billie as BILLIE ARMSTRONG. I know that's technically correct but without the Joe it sounds off. It made me cringe.

The music videos from this era actually were decent, I agree with that. I felt like after American Idiot the GD music videos weren't anything special. 21CB didn't have great music videos and I thought the Rev Rad ones were just average. My fave GD music videos will always be the ones from Dookie, Insomniac and select ones from AI.
