Confession: I've literally just spent almost an entire 11 hours just looking at pictures of Billie. His beautiful face made me lose track of time.4 points

I love the part where Joey's like "you're so weird," and Billie's like "I'm not weird." PFFFT, yeah right, Billie. You are weird. We love it though. I hope #messwithyourkidmonday becomes a regular thing (sorry, Joey).2 points

I agree he is a very good back up vocalist, but as a lead singer, I just don't find his voice pleasant.1 point
-
I like to hear it every now and then but he's a much better back up vocalist. I think in terms of lead vocals, he sounds great on American Eulogy but on Governator and Homecoming, he's alright... Nothing spectacular.1 point

Here is an unpopular opinion. I really don't like Mikes voice at all. I find it to be a strange pitch and monotone. I actually think Tre is a much better singer. However, Mike's voice does lend itself to a good back up vocalist for Billie. But as a solo singer, I would rather listen to Youngblood on repeat.1 point

I can't imagine living in or hanging out in his house. At any moment you could be live with over a thousand people . Most parents just embarrass their kids in front of a couple dozen people at most.1 point

Yep, same, itās awful what this man does to us. Do you think Joey and Jakobās pals love to visit the Armstrong house and see what Billie will get up to next, or at least, now they are adults they do but as easily embarrassed teens they stayed well clear š oh and remember, he can be way more embarrassing than this!1 point

I can picture the scene. Joeyās friend: āSo where do you keep that puppet you had on tour?ā Joey: āNo, no, please donāt ask about the puppet!ā Billie: āThe PUPPET YOU SAY?! YES!!!ā *runs* Joey: āAw crap.ā1 point

I remember that someone went into the old fangirls thread last year and posted something like "I've rushed here because of Billies new Instagram post". Naturally, I clicked over onto Instagram, and it goes without saying that I certainly was not expecting to see Billie waving his willy out of the window. I also thought it was pretty funny on April fools day last year when the mods changed everyone's username here to "Billies Buns" with the window picture as everyone's profile picture!! The mods will have some difficulty topping last years April fool prank.1 point

As well as being St Patricks day on Saturday, I can see from my diary that it is also a 'new moon' day. We certainly saw a moon March 17th last year Ps. I'm watching the 3 clips above all at once1 point

^^^That's a good pic for his hands/arms too. His gorgeous nails. I love his beautiful inked forearms so much.1 point

For me too, I saw him twice live in June/July last year and I enjoyed it a lot better than the first time in February when I was so scared in the pit for the first time. And I thought Billie was unbelievably beautiful, happy and amazing in June and July. For all those fangirling on his teeth like I currently am, here's a nice zooming:1 point

At the end of it, when Billie kept raising his arms, the camera was too high, and I kept yelling at the screen, "Lower your camera!" There was a lot of missed belly opportunities there. Don't they know we want to see the goods?1 point

He looks and sounds so good, just in case you missed it, @Admiral_Needa's vid of Whole Wide World is excellent, and there are some fab close ups of Billie looking just fab! Can't believe it doesn't have more views yet, could have sworn I'd watched it about 500 times lol!1 point

^^^ His eyes (well, eye 'cause you can only see one). They're too gorgeous for words. And his sweaty neck and hair. And I'm still totally in love with the earring. But yeah, eye(s) are definitely the standout in that pic. God, he's so beautiful I could cry.1 point

Woo, haven't posted in this thread in over 24 hours, now I feel like I'm home again. Just poppin in to say that this pic is still the hottest thing in existence. Everything about it is perfect, especially the pouty pink lips, curls, eyebrows, ink, hands, big flash of chest, and his flushed cheeks. And he should wear his glasses more often, they're sexy.1 point

I actually like the red light lyrics in the trilogy. Oh love:"don't stop when the red lights flash" sounds like he's giving himself permission Stop when the red lights flash: literally the name.of the song like its a warning and shits about to get real grim but he s6ill won't chill out Dirty rotten bastards:"dust to dust when the red light flashes" it's too late and he's dust now I think the whole trilogy is a big metaphor for his addiction which if he's anything like me has probably been a struggle his whole adult life. In that regard I think the trilogys really cool but it should've been cut in at least half if not more cause its not even affective with thst many songs it's just a big incoherent mess1 point
-
I was thinking about this the other day and itās something that bothers me too, me and my boyfriend frequently have trilogy discussions on long drives and these were specific lyrics that annoy us both. I get that it ties everything together but in my opinion itās such a weird tie that I canāt figure out.1 point

And "Cause you ain't worth the shit under my shoes or the piss on the ground." Are you guys trying to hijack every GDC thread with posts about Billie and piss? It's happened in at least four different threads in the past few months.1 point

Oh remembered another pee story ā in a bottle in the back of the Van (Econoline or Bookmobile, I forget) š1 point

I agree. Plus the movie thing like @WhiteTim said. Still can't help thinking of him being a millionaire when he sings it and being mildly amused though1 point

You mean if the lyrics were: "Baby we don't have much But I just checked my net worth It's out of this woooorrrlllldddddd" it'd have a slightly different meaning? Seriously though, I think the song and lyrics are awesome. The lyrical content can be either taken in context as a throw-back to a simpler time when they were young and had nothing much aside from their love, etc. Or it could be a present day interpretation whereas yeah, they might have a lot of financial resources now and everything they could have ever hoped for materially, but that stuff isn't important to them (which I firmly believe) and there's nothing of importance to him greater than their relationship. Either way, it works well. And as we know, many people who are successful and do well (and even incredibly well) financially don't really put too much stock in their net worth or whether they're worth ten, a hundred, or several hundred million- their relationships and legacy are far more self- defining attributes. And I firmly believe Billie is in this category. Yes, for many high net worth individuals, total net worth is a defining characteristic, but I honestly think that for the guys in Green Day (like many others), it's not a top priority. I'm not mentioning this because I thought you believed otherwise, I'm just throwing it out there because I think it's worth mentioning.1 point

Part of me wants to know what Drama Queen would've been like if it were on 21CB because I feel like it would've been very different than the version on TrƩ. Although part of me is glad it wasn't on 21CB cause I feel like it might've ruined the album for me. I'm pretty sure it was replaced by Murder City, which I think is a very good thing because that is a great song and definitely belongs on 21CB1 point
-
Totally, that's what Billie said it was about when it was almost on 21st CB and he gave some descriptions of the songs before it came out. He mentioned about how they're creepily exploited by their families as well, "old enough to bleed" also meaning old enough for the family/everyone who has a stake in their fame to exploit. Yeah I agree that's what the line means. And it could be a fling with a youthful person for sure, I just think it's more a generally lively and exciting person who could very well be young, but wouldn't necessarily have to be much younger. I've basically just never thought of it as a song about the character he had a fling with. But thinking about it maybe you're right and it could be loosely implied as being about her in the past/her background? That would work and would tie it in. Although there's other songs on there that don't really relate to the stories (eg 99 Revolutions) so who knows. I think that's the idea. It's about the creepy subject of young women being exploited so deliberately creepy imagery is used.1 point
-
That song always reminded me of someone like Miley Cyrus or some other Disney Channel star who transitioned from being a cute kid celebrity to a messed up over sexualized adult one. The line āold enough to bleedā has a nice double meaning of growing up and also of an age where the tabloids can beat you up and all the scandals and celebrity drama happens.1 point
-
Tre is my least favourite Trilogy album (the first five songs are some of my all time favourites and I like the rest, just less than Uno or Dos) but yeah, I've always liked Drama Queen. The "she's old enough to bleed now" line never bothered me, the only one I find a bit cringey is "she is so wet and reckless". I think the song works both with the original meaning (being about celebrities) but also how it fits into the theme of a relationship with a younger person on the Trilogy. I'd also love to know what the hell Billie is singing in the Demolicious version of Oh Love, but I don't suppose we ever will1 point

Lady Cobra is good because it's basically a FBHT song1 point
-
I wouldn't call it their "best" song but it is very underrated. Very Foxboro Hot Tub like1 point
-
Lady Cobra is by far their best song. I know people will disagree with me, but man. It's so simple and effective. Story is that recently when I was drunk as fuck and listening this song, I wanted to make cover of it. I fell in love with those instruments and Billie's voice sounds extra fresh. Also very rare dual-solo with Jason and Billie + those lyrics.. I mean, look at this. ''I don't wanna make you cry Cross my heart and hope to die Drawin' blood and lonely stars Drink and kiss for cheap guitars I don't wanna suicide, I don't want this to end I just wanna be your friend Ah, your friend'' Add to that Lady Cobra doesn't sound like other Green Day songs and it has this quite unique feeling. I've been listening trilogy way too much; it still doesn't lose it's magic by overplaying it all the time. It just shows how much they loved to make these records, and I'm really thankful for that as a fan.1 point
