You mistake the word ridiculous for fucking creepy and borderline obsessive.6 points

I’d rather see an entire page consisting of Michael Scott gifs than read that last page again. Uncomfortable isn’t the word.6 points

Or perhaps it was his dog walker? Have you cross referenced their profiles yet? I seriously hope that Billie never visits this page or reads this with his own eyes, or he might just rethink this whole social media idea, just because his fans can't keep it together.5 points

I love these pictures but it just makes me want a behind the scenes video even more.4 points

I hope this isn’t all the behind the scenes we get but it is something at least:4 points

I think there’s a difference between having a joke about Billie and speculating that he’s cheating on his wife but that’s just me.4 points

I'm so sorry. I forgot how trolls in the past have been banned so easily for being trolls like yourself.4 points

To me "we don't have much" isn't literal, even in the context of the movie. I interpret it as meaning that the narrator's relationship comes with difficulties and challenges that mean it may never be truly fulfilling, but that it's "more than enough" regardless. It's not perfect, in fact quite the opposite, but they'd rather have that than anything else. It resonates with me a lot. My relationship might seem desirable to some people, but it's actually incredibly difficult because of external circumstances. Yet it's still more than enough and I'll "walk to the end of the earth and afar" before I give it up. Love the song, but I do find the movie extremely depressing4 points

^ Agreed (both that Billie Joe is hawt and that we need a behind the scenes video)! But, can we talk about Mr. Dirnt for a second because... How handsome can he get??3 points

???? You literally said this to me yesterday and I apologized and said I'd stop. There's no need to keep picking on me when I've already said I'll stop doing it. I love watching Billie get so into playing the guitar onstage, especially when Mike's next to him. You can really tell that performing with his best friends is his most favourite thing in the world.3 points

I can pick about 3 or 4 songs I genuinely like and will happily listen to on both 1039/Smooth and Kerplunk, I used to be all like 'oh yeah I love the older stuff it's so cool to like everything pre-Dookie' but now I can admit to not liking it all that much. It all sounds the same to me.3 points

You used 40 of the same emoji in one post? I know it became kind of a signature thing for you to use a lot of them but it needs to not be a thing anymore. It's a pretty simple request. So even one polite reminder about the rules on emoji use is enough for a childish off topic reaction only a couple of weeks after the thread was restarted in an attempt to keep it on topic and followable instead of a spam thread. The thread will be closed if this doesn't stop so I hope it's worth it. Also if you want to discuss this PM me please, I don't want another tiresome debate here. So, fangirling3 points

Godammit now you guys got me listening to this with earphones and the volume way up trying to figure out who the hell is naked.3 points

1039 were my favorite album when I was a teenager. Still listen to it a lot, same with Kerplunk.2 points

Why the fuck is this conversation still going on? Take it to PM if anyone still wants to continue, no more posts about it here please.2 points

I think stalking band members online and obsessing over their private lives to the point of making up rumors about him cheating on his wife or speculating on online boards about who he might have threesomes with kind of stretches the definition of "humor", but that's just my opinion2 points

Okay, I understand that. I wasn't spamming intentionally, I just didn't think using emojis was considered spamming as long as there was something else of value in the post. Obviously, this forum has a different understanding of what spamming is than I do, so since that's considered spamming here, I'll stop doing it. And I wasn't trying to say that you haven't been fair about it - you have been fair but your last post just irked me a bit after I had already said that I'll stop. Sorry if I came across as passive-aggressive and sorry for the confusion. Let's leave it there, yeah? Back to fangirling...1 point

I love 1039 and Kerplunk, only song I'd ever skip from any of them is Rest.1 point

Very nice. He looks like a government agent hunting aliens. 😄1 point

I agree, especially about 1,039. But with Kerplunk, there are times that I listen to songs that I haven't heard for a while and really enjoy them.1 point

No joke, I genuinely thought that was Tre at first. All I heard was a high-pitched voice and I thought of Tre instantly. I was like "why would Tre be naked in Billie's room? Have they been doing something they shouldn't have been?" and then I realised that it was 80.1 point

She's brave not to have covered up when he went live. I would not trust him, haha. Not that he'd intentionally expose his wife to the internet, but more like he might forget for a moment that she's not wearing anything and be like "Say hi Adrienne...oh crap". Now if he wants to make that mistake with himself....*runs back over to fangirl thread*1 point

I'm also noticing that the fluff in his hair is starting to return I approve.1 point

Oh my god he's so annoying . And of course he has to be all nonchalant and act like he's not sure whether the album's out when most likely he knows very well that it is and has been asked to mention it on Instagram1 point

Feel like I say this a lot but where to even begin I AM DECEASED etc I guess we know now why he cut his hair/started wearing it like that1 point

When they change into suits at the end of the video Billie looks so freaking hot with the slightly messy hair.1 point

But yes it could be sincere even so. Billie has written the song for the movie first, and then he felt it would perfectly fit to end RevRad. What sense would that make, if he wasn't perfectly sincere, regarding himself above all? I can totally picture him feeling this of his own life in 2016 : when he looks within himself, he may still find not to have much, in spite of all (and all what everyone else sees from the outside), but he has also found that what he has (and he only can tell what it is) is more than enough. That's not an easy thing to say, whether you're rich or poor, it doesn't matter, that what you find in ordinary world is more than enough. I think this is what makes the song universally relatable: we may all feel somehow incomplete in our ordinary life, especially when we consider what remains of our lives when we think of it in a deeper way than just material belonging. The song is about finding that the "not much" that you find that's left, has actually all you need.1 point

@gaslight13 I always try to make a clear distinction between the content of a song and the singer. To me, a song tells a story and stories are usually fictional. I don't really care for the singer just like I don't care for the author if I read a book. It's about the lyrics. And I can relate to them. But you are right, if you assume that the song is supposed to represent the life of Billie Joe Armstrong in 2016, it wouldn't be sincere. But what matters to me is what meaning a song has to myself. Besides, I agree with @Kuromignonne. To me, the song is not necessarily about money. It's about feeling lost and helpless and confused. All that you have is your own personality, your own values and eventually your love for some else.1 point

You mean if the lyrics were: "Baby we don't have much But I just checked my net worth It's out of this woooorrrlllldddddd" it'd have a slightly different meaning? Seriously though, I think the song and lyrics are awesome. The lyrical content can be either taken in context as a throw-back to a simpler time when they were young and had nothing much aside from their love, etc. Or it could be a present day interpretation whereas yeah, they might have a lot of financial resources now and everything they could have ever hoped for materially, but that stuff isn't important to them (which I firmly believe) and there's nothing of importance to him greater than their relationship. Either way, it works well. And as we know, many people who are successful and do well (and even incredibly well) financially don't really put too much stock in their net worth or whether they're worth ten, a hundred, or several hundred million- their relationships and legacy are far more self- defining attributes. And I firmly believe Billie is in this category. Yes, for many high net worth individuals, total net worth is a defining characteristic, but I honestly think that for the guys in Green Day (like many others), it's not a top priority. I'm not mentioning this because I thought you believed otherwise, I'm just throwing it out there because I think it's worth mentioning.1 point

I love Reject. It’s catchy and has a funny story behind it. That line you quote was taken verbatim from his own letter to that angry parent complaining that they were trash. I loved his response, both the letter and the song.1 point
