  1. I honestly love every single song of Revolution Radio. I was sceptical at the first listen, but I really honestly love them all. I'm a little confused by Bouncing Off The Wall and Too Dumb To Die but they are both so fun and great just like every other song. I'm really glad I didn't let the negative opinions I saw about Outlaws influence me. I mean they kind of influenced me because I was scared I wouldn't like it and dreaded the first listen but I was pleasantly surprised to find out I liked it very, very much. I love Revolution Radio so much

  2. Warner Music Japan released this video on YouTube. Sadly all questions are in Japanese. There's a sweet anecdote about their first time in Japan

  3. I think Cometbus lives in NY, so hopefully if Billie moves they can start working on a new PHGP album

  4. I'd like that... I listened to PHGP yesterday for the first time in ages and I almost forgot how much I love some of the songs.

  5. Listening to Kerplunk in its entirety for the first time in a while. Still gives me the goosebumps to this day!

  6. It sounds more like a vacation home type of thing... plus it can possibly have something to do with working on the American Idiot movie...

  7. Wow. I had no idea. This is news to me

  8. It actually sounds pretty cool, like a name of an actual station. Radio Free Europe or something like that. I think the guy tried, and sounded kind of interested but it was super out of place. Still, I was very happy they featured Green Day. It finally dawned on my how classic they have become.

  9. Yeah It must feel awful when you later realise that you've been talking about facts that weren't facts at all

  10. Yeah, I was about to close the page with thoughts like What did I just hear right now? Haha. But it was nice of them to at least try to say something But it was like me trying to talk about professional photography, I mean I don't understand it at all

  11. Just came here to say I found it there... I cringed a few times, but it would've been a nice segment (it's always nice to hear something about them on a local radio), if they at least got the album title right. When they played Revolution Radio and you could hear Billie singing in the background and the guy was once again just like "So, Radio Revolution, the title track..." that made me want to turn it off

  12. thanks for sharing! that's a cool anecdote, had no idea what the meaning behind that album was!

  13. You can stream it online on the official website of CRO+, it's the part after 17 o'clock. And yes, the album is now called Radio Revolution in the Czech Republic

  14. They do definitely have an apartment in NY already (Joey has mentioned staying there in interviews). It would be weird for them to move away permanently from the place they love so much and have so much though, not sure if that was a misquote in some way, where whoever wrote it didn't quite get what he was saying.

  15. I agree. As much as I love the idea of him being closer, as I'm in NJ, I also hate the idea of him leaving California. It just seems wrong. I hope it's just a secondary home. I mean, NY is the best city in the world, but he's an Oakland boy! How will be Green Day continue to be Green Day if they are so far away from each other?

  16. He'd probably go to England though, which can hardly be considered "Team Europe" anymore I mean geographically yes still Europe but it does feel like England are leaving #teameurope.

  17. Also, this precious thing: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/billie-joe-armstrong-debate-trump_us_57fbef2be4b0e655eab6c3cd Second Billie video of the day. I think my smile almost fell off of my face watching this.

  18. Here are the Rock Sound screenshots (@Mara Garcia Green Day they have arrived)! The pictures are cut off because it's from my phone, but it's something! http://imgur.com/a/SL38k It's an excellent read, by the way. I cried like three times. This is getting to be a habit, Green Day.

  19. The trilogy is massively underrated and seems to be very misunderstood. The three records were like one great record with all the cool b-sides included. Why in the eff wouldn't a Green Day fan be over the moon for these records is beyond me. I love the fun Green Day / Foxboro Hot Tubs kind of songs that were very present on Dos especially but really all throughout the records. I like the honestly of the lyrics and showcasing ideas of fun & love. Not everything has to be a massive political statement. A lot of us are miserable in our day to day lives. Fun is a good thing for us. The songs are fun & different enough to be exciting & the lyrics seem honest & real in so many of the songs. The same people complaining about the cartoony caricature writing of American Idiot & 21CB also seem to be dumping on the trilogy. The trilogy has some of the most honest & raw writing I've seen in years of Green Day records. Sometimes a grown man has a hangover or a crush or a thought about a missing friend or all kinds of crazy stuff! I'm so happy Billie Joe wrote honestly as the character of himself & how he might feel lazy or nostalgic or what-have-you. It happens. And sometimes an artist will write something funny, lazy, epic, spontaneous & strange. I like how the trilogy gives a fan the best of what makes Green Day Green Day plus a whole lot more. Growing up with Green Day has been a blast and the trilogy was a great gift for me. Uno, Dos, Tre was a very ambitious project & am super grateful they did it. I hope they'll play a lot more songs from those albums live. Seems to be missing from the current set lists. Please for the love of all that is good bring back some trilogy songs to the set lists and realize these songs are appreciated & fans would love to hear them again!

  20. I wasn't even there but it made me soooooooooooooooooooo butthurt! Most reviews I read were like that - strangely enough, most Czech writers seem to dislike them. Look up what came out in Lidové noviny about that show. Holy shit, I'm still mad! A proud Bush supporter wrote that article.

  21. Oh okay, that's true I should probably move this out of this thread but oh my god, I just tried to look up his reviews and found this and it still makes me as mad as when I read it 6 years ago. It was the best show ever, he doesn't get it at all. I didn't know it's this guy. Don't mind me, I have to go calm down now

  22. I know, right? It was super weird Yeah, it was in his review for Uno, along with speculation that iHeart was a publicity stunt. I liked the way he talked about revrad too. I was surprised I could agree with him this time. Also, thanks

  23. Yeah, exactly, it's a bit strange... I wouldn't expect to hear about them there, but if the radio guy was interested and wanted to talk about them, why didn't he get the album title right I also felt a bit sorry for him. I wonder who actually decided to include this little interview. And what, did Vedral seriously say that about 21st CB Wow. I quite liked how he talked about RevRad. That's really great Happy for you.

  25. Me too I really didn't get the impression he felt comfortable or keen on talking about this shiny new album Radio Revolution I think I'm going to call it like that cuz it sounds really funny

  27. Yes Aaron moved there a few years ago and runs a bookstore in Williamsburg. He was at Green Day's gigs in NYC this past week. It'd be too awesome if they worked on new material!! I'm thinking Billie plans on doing more acting also. He also has quite a few friends in NYC so the move wouldn't be so bizarre. He did live there for quite some time in the past few years working on movies etc.

  28. Mom's just called me they're going to talk about Green Day on a public service radio station. I don't know who else speaks Czech I guess @Ellen Caulfield and @Marki. might. (It's meant to be on Čro +)

  30. true at least he'd be geographically closer. That would be cool. but that's why I need him to move to Europe, all the cool shows in my backyard. Maybe they just want a change. Something interesting to do when they're together on their own. Plus the movie might be filmed there.

  31. Not really misheard, but I was singing along with "To Dumb to Die" and sang "looking for a cause and all I got was menopause " lol, what's wrong with me?

  33. Omg I cried too haha, what he said about the trilogy "I think they will make more sense with time, too. History will be kind to them, I'm confident of that" and what Billie said at the end about the car Thank you so much for the screenshsots! <3 Omg so much Billie today! Loved that interview! Too bad I didn't catch it live.

  34. I don't even know how this one came about but... In Holiday I always thought the chorus where he sings "I beg to dream and differ" went "I bet the Truman difference" .......yeah

  35. I was at my sister's yesterday and I was putting punk songs on YouTube and talking about all the old punk bands who are still going, Basket Case autoplayed so I pointed to them as an example and she replied "Green Day are more of an institution really, like you wouldn't refer to the Statue Of Liberty as 'still going', it just is." She's not even really a fan, so that's cool.

  36. Since 2009 I've successfully bought tickets for 2 arena shows, a stadium show and 2 smaller (3000/5000 people) shows through Idiot Club presales, never once failed. I know it doesn't always work out that way for everyone, and I haven't ever tried buying them in a general sale so I can't compare it, but from my experience at least I'd say it's worth it. If nothing else it's just nice to have that extra chance before the general sale, knowing you'll still have a second shot even if you don't get them.
