  1. He actually rarely does solos, bridges yes, solos no. However, believe it or not, I actually do agree with you. Billie doesn't play anything super difficult, but he usually takes simple chord progressions and adds in some bridges, hammer ons, etc. And he plays very, very tight. So basically, what he plays, he plays very, very well.

  4. Usually, GD songs have a very fast BPM, so that may be difficult if strumming is giving you a problem. Alot of GD songs, more the earlier ones, are mostly down strokes, so that makes it easier. Brain Stew is probably their easiest song to play. I play it at 75, so that is pretty slow. Also, maybe a song with more picking than strumming. Good Riddance or Brutal Love are good ones to try. Stay away from something like Minority. It has picking and fast strumming and odd strum patterns. I think it is one of their more difficult songs to play.

  5. And then Hitchin' A Ride is basically Brain Stew played a bit differently so that helps.

  6. Brain Stew is a no brainer. I was able to play it just fine after doing many shots.

  8. Yep. Because of this I also believe that Green Day songs are the best for beginners on electric guitar. As you said, Billie's playing is based in simplicity but he adds in some other things like hammer-ons which makes his songs easy to play but very educational for beginners.

  10. Yeah, if my playing was as tight as his I'd be over the moon.

  11. Yes, it doesn't make a good single when the entire song is censored

  12. I don't give a fuck anyway! True, that's problematic on the radio. However, I doubt they mind considerig they released Kill The DJ as a single.

  13. My local radio actually started playing Let Yourself Go and people really liked that one. That would have been a good lead single. In my opinion Oh Love is very laid back and i love it as a closer for the album but not much for the single. But just my opinion. Oh and don't get me started on that video. Absolute hatred for it haha.

  14. I loved hearing Oh Love on the radio when it came out! It got me into Green Day again and I bought Uno! I wasn't really following them that closely, but Oh Love was really catchy and different and caught my ear. It's fun to sing along with.

  16. I hope for the next album they release some 7" singles with some b-sides on them. I used to love collecting singles for nimrod and warning when I was a kid, I even got a few dookie and insomniac ones. There were no physical format singles for the trilogy, right?

  17. While at breakfast this morning I saw a girl wearing a GD AI t-shirt. I should have asked what she knows about the next album.

  19. Absolutely, you get a sense of accomplishment with GD songs. It is tough for a beginner to get them right away, but you can get them. It just takes some work.

  20. They forgot Dimebag Darrel I think Billie as a guitarist is pretty much underrated and even being a Punk/Alternative guitarist he makes really good solos and bridges in GD songs.

  21. Let Yourself Go might have been a good single, though. My local station played it too and it always caught everyone's attention. I guess it's a kind of song that gets overplayed but it has actually grown on me when I heard it on the radio from time to time. It's fun, catchy and punky. The simplistic production didn't bother me either. It stood out among other rock songs they played.

  22. Lollapalooza replayed Green Day's 2010 performance between shows about every 15 minutes. If I could post a video I would. I took one
