Glad to see iTunes finally fixed the release date for AI. For most of this year, they had it listed as coming out in May of 19986 points

I think that Having a Blast is one of Green Day's best lyrically written songs...4 points

We no longer have the image http://www.greendayauthority.com/news/4257/ It was basically a drawing he made of the twin towers being hit saying something like "We're usually sad on September 11th, but now's a time to celebrate because American Idiot was leaked". We had much different standards back then.3 points

Hard to argue, I have maybe only once made it that far.2 points

I love how the post totals in this thread reflect opinions; Me, Zack, Kay, Graham and Tom are the top posters (primarily) coz of trilogy bashing, followed closely by Hermione (primarily) coz of trilogy loving I'm easily pleased2 points

Plus not so many people outside the fanbase know the song. If it were a single there would be many more misinterpretations and controversy.2 points

This is quite possibly the worst analogy I've ever read, and I wish I could use brain bleach to erase it from my mind.2 points

Somewhere out there is a tree tirelessly producing oxygen so he can sing. I think he owes it an apology. While we're on the subject, "You were always there when I needed help. The beach is deserted except for some kelp." Glorious.2 points

I've always been surprised that it wasn't a more controversial song given its subject matter.1 point

Too funny Mar! Last week I referred to Thursday night football (Green Bay game) as Monday night football. I can't keep up! Love you too1 point
-
Love you Karen but hopefully you're watching Sunday Night football. Otherwise you'd be living in the future. Which might be cool but kind of unrealistic. And hopefully you're as disgusted at the game as I am!1 point

The guitar intro is one of only two things I really like about it1 point

Hah. His name was Matt, he was an editor on GDA 2 years before I joined. He was actually a pretty awesome dude. He was also from New York, so I figured if he didn't' feel bad posting it I wouldn't.1 point

Rolling Stone just posted on Facebook wishing a happy 10 yrs to American Idiot TODAY even though it didn't come out until later (what is the exact date btw). Reddit did the same thing. What's the deal?1 point

Anyone know where this is from? Recent?? It looks like the face of a man about to give a press conferencing announcing the end of Green Day1 point

I don't care about you I do find it incredible how you came straight back from a suspension and used your unlimited posting privileges to have this conversation, though.1 point

What you are saying indicates that you do not have human empathy towards him, and that's a shame.1 point
-
Don't you think that's a bit of a selfish attitude, though? Personally I'd rather he took care of himself first, and if we're lucky enough to get some more awesome performances from him in the future then that's wonderful too. The price for our entertainment should not be the deterioration of his health.1 point
