American Idiot never gets boring, I've heard the song so many times but it's so cleverly written and extremely important in Green Days career.4 points

I think you'll find that numerous people, Praxus included, have explained their dislike of the Trilogy multiple times. Something you've never done with AI.2 points

Ever heard about a thing called subjectivity? Even though Todd is a dirty hipster, he has a right to his opinion and at least he doesn't call everyone else fake fans2 points

Nope. It's my all time favorite. I love Dookie and Kerplunk and American Idiot. But I'm 16, I relate to 39/Smooth probably a lot better than adults do. And I'm sure I'll outgrow it for that reason, but for now I want to enjoy it while I can.2 points

AI is easily the most important song in their back catalogue.1 point

Can I just say there's nothing wrong with not liking AI and thinking it's not good, based on the music. That's personal preference/opinion. It's just the reasons given (such as not liking AI fans, or claiming that "fuck Bush" was a mainstream thing), and your acting as if other people are at fault for liking it that people are disagreeing with. Just want to point out no one's saying you have to like the album1 point

we all know 5sos covered American idiot for kerrrang! there also putting it on their new single/EP link to the vinyl https://store.universalmusic.com/5sos/*/*/Amnesia-7-Vinyl/3G2J0000000?utm_campaign=5SOSAmnesiaEP-Vinyl&utm_content=5SOSAmnesiaEP-Vinyl&utm_medium=Referral&utm_source=ArtistWebsite1 point

That's very true of earlier albums but I think the American Idiot ones are pretty accurate. Could be wrong but I don't know of any differences there like I do with a lot of the others. And even if it was "alien nation" that'd still clearly be intended to bring the word "alienation" to mind anyway, either way it's word play where two phrases that sound the same are being referred to so in this particular case it doesn't really matter which it is.1 point

This is now pinned in my favorites bar between the tounge emoticon that Andres hates (), and the WhiteTim emoticon that's only used when WhiteTim says something ()1 point

50/50. Either I retaliate or just leave. Really no way of knowing for sure.1 point

I think it's because the sound of the song sounds a lot more like Dos than Drama Queen does. That song would have been so out of place on Dos.1 point

It says alienation in the booklet. I think it's meant to be heard both ways though, so there's a double meaning where he's saying the US a nation where people feel alienated and also that it can be a weird, "alien" nation.1 point

He's played with them a few times now. I hope you do get to see them and that Billie makes an appearance, would be so cool to see that in person! They're from Costa Rica 2010, for anyone who cares.1 point
