I have to agree. I'm sure both women are talented singers, but that song was just never meant to be sung that way. It just didn't work.5 points

Totally agree. While AAF has an amazing setlist, there are five things that kill it for me compared to BIAB: 1. The mixing. BIAB just sounds more powerful, somehow. 2. Billie's voice. I like that it sounds more raw on BIAB, and even though we've had this conversation many times, I still think that the vocals on AAF sound fucked-with at places. 3. The fact that BIAB is all from one concert gives it a more consistent feel. 4. Comparing the DVDs, the outdoor setting of BIAB makes it feel much less claustrophobic than the arena in AAF. 5. Best versions of "Brain Stew" and "Minority" ever.4 points

Macy's Day Parade is 2nd behind Castaway easily for me. Simply one of their best songs. That middle section of the AAF CD, C&V-Who Wrote Holden Caulfield? is an incredible stretch. Also Demolicious could give us an interesting new twist on some trilogy songs. But to suggest that it would be better than any full-length LP that GD has put out, let along better than 21cb, is ridiculous. State of Shock would have to be better than Jesus of Suburbia for that to happen (it won't)3 points

I don't know if this is an Unpopular Opinion or not but, Insomniac is way better than Dookie.3 points
-
I don't think it's going to count as a Green Day album technically. It'll be more along the lines of Shenanigans and International Superhits.3 points

Baby Eyes isnt even half as good as Christians Inferno...3 points

Do you have ever actually heard 21st Century Breakdown? Because you seem a bit confused.3 points

Nuclear Family would have been a much better opener than 99 Revs. I think the countdown at the end would have worked pretty well.3 points
-
What about it? Oh, I forgot X-Kid, add that to the list. 99 Revolutions is just a world of no.3 points

As much as I adore JOS (I mean, I don't even need to go into all the reasons why it's outstanding, do I?) I can kind of understand why people might not like it. It's unquestionably massively overblown, so if you're not into that kind of thing then something like Sweet 16 is bound to appeal more. /uncharacteristically diplomatic post3 points

I usually end up picking a song I want to listen to from the album, then end up leaving it on from that point. I almost never sit down and go Nice Guys to Prosthetic Head. On the other hand, I do this more often than not not with 21CB2 points

Even though Nimrod is brilliant. I never feel like putting it on.2 points

Almost every song's good on Nimrod. One of my fav albums.2 points

Last Ride In is magical BiaB was a better concert, but AAF has better songs. The CD version has to be one of my favorite track lists ever - dat middle section! Holden Caulfield, JAR, Pasalacqua, and Cigarettes and Valentines2 points

Scattered is probably the best song on Nimrod...2 points

I kind of count Shenanigans as a real album even though it technically may not be. International obviously doesn't count though. I've got an opinion that may be unpopular: BIAB is hands down the best live recording of Green Day ever, there's moments on that album that are so raw and powerful yet others are so beautiful it gives me chills. And I think it's got the best recording of Good Riddance ever2 points

Well we all know how they get the shits on the road. Need to be comfortable for your pre-performance dookies I suppose... DIVAS.2 points

If an album was made up of Brutal Love, Missing You, Stay The Night, X-Kid, 8th Avenue Serenade, Rusty James, Lazy Bones, Wow That's Loud! It'd be one of the strongest Green Day albums.2 points

I don't particularly like it but you have to admit, the guitar in the chorus and the solo are killer.2 points

Those other songs are way too repetitive. She's a Rebel is a perfect balance for me as far as a repetitive songs go.1 point

A lifetime since I last listened to Wild One and I didn't remember the lyrics and I couldn't hear another thing that ''For living on penis''. Shame.1 point

Brutal Love is as good as most of the stuff on Breakdown, I'd say. Let me introduce you to: It basically means that during the last chorus of Let Yourself Go, you don't have to play the same chords on guitar for the whole time, because there is another thing you can play. Makes it a bit less boring1 point

When I first heard Jesus of Suburbia, I was really convinced there was a section about cats. Something along the lines of, "I have a cat, if you don't. I have a cat, if you don't. I have a cat, if you don't cat. I like cats." And I'm pretty sure I still don't sing any of the correct lyrics for American Idiot, haha.1 point
